Why do people think Saitama is strongest anime character of all time?

He clearly isn't and I am a huge fan of the manga, Web comic and show. These claims need to stop!

Look at the name of the series. There you have your bloody answer.

It is because of his looney tunes nature, People do not get that Saitama is only that in his own universe , Universes created by other authors abide different rules, You cant have Saitama come and kill Superman with One Punch because it does not work like that, Dividing the clouds on a global scale with a punch does not make any sense even by fictional standards. Now you might say, Relax it is fiction and i will tell you fiction from fiction differs a lot, You have things like looney tunes and One Punch and you have things like Marvel and DC where it does stray from reality but the two mentioned before them are in a whole other class way, way above them.

If we include Saitama in battles we might as well include Bugs Bunny, Bugs Bunny would stomp Saitama, He is an omnipotent reality warping fast humping monster.

It's because he literally wasn't created with limits.

Saitama is as strong as he wants to be.

Because he is a joke character who was made to be as overpowered as possible. It blows my mind how people actually take him seriously and use him in battles. He can't lose. Period.

He seems pretty OP physically though. I haven't seen Goku do his same feats ever physically. Don't bring up the Beerus and Goku clash I'm talking solo.

100+ chapters and saitama is still fighting city buster level characters and less. I would have figured he would have fought a Star busting character by now.

Because he's like a Superman placed in the Naruto universe. No one can dent him and we simply can't even begin to see his limits in such a weak environment. Add to this some controversial statements about him actually being limitless, and there you go, people will believe he's the strongest ever.

Each universe exists independently of the others. Let the "One Punch" fans keep saying he's the strongest - it's not really hurting anyone.

I tried watching One Punch Man but the first episode was like hell no can't do this.

Most people would say he's Nigh-Omnipotent. He was in complete control of the universe they were fighting in, which was between the 10th and 11th dimensions. TTGL ate the Big Bang which was focused into a beam, turning itself into STTGL. He warps probability, he could shoot a galaxy sized missile at Saitama, and even if Saitama can tank it, the probability is warped, Saitama gets hurt anyway. Or he could shoot Galaxy sized missiles at every point in space and time, past and future, kill Saitama before he gets his powers. Regardless, I doubt the probability of Saitama tanking a drill that's 5x the size of the observable universe that's so FTL it'd make the Flash puke. Saitama wouldn't even have any way to attack STTGL, seeing as how even the largest Galaxy would be about the size of his fingernail. Saitama has literally no way to get to him.
