Escanor.

I tried to like Ban, and he constantly disappointed me.

Meliodas. The foolish personality comes across as a coping mechanism. Not only for himself, but to calm those around him.

Escanor and Ban are easily the best written. Honorable mention would be our Lord and Savior, Sir Hawk.

Meliodas and Elizabeth make me want to skip the episode. Such awful characters.

I have a hard time choosing favourite characters. If I had to say, Zeldris and Estarossa/Mael are two of the characters I like best.

@vulkanian: Are you up to date with the manga or an anime only watcher? Because Meliodas really isn't a bad character.

Mel and Escanor are up there. TBH IDK who my favorite is.

@hittheassasin: I’ve only watched the anime but Meliodas is a straight up Mary Sue. Gets beat and gets a random power up, gets killed lol jk he’s immortal. Even his enemies hated having to kill him lmao.

@vulkanian: Almost all of that is explained in the manga and trust me, Meliodas is anything but a Mary Sue. As for his random power ups, Meliodas was just overwhelmingly strong from the beginning, with a vast majority of his true power being lost and/or sealed away for various reasons. His different power ups are essentially Meliodas slowly regaining the power he possessed back in the day.

Anyone who does not say LORD ESCANOR was clearly not raised right.

Meliodas followed by Ban. Meliodas is one of my favorite fictional characters. He's so entertaining on screen.

I liked Estarossa before the BS reveal and I like King but only when he's not fawning over Diane (so never). Other than that, praise the sun.

He’s a boring bland of an op character. Escanor was an op character done right, and he has 1/10th of the screen time that Meliodas has.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say with this. Sure, Meliodas gets hyped and acknowledged by lots of people, including his enemies, but what does that matter?

Huh? What severe mistakes did Meliodas make that were easily forgiven for no reason? Both of his brothers, the entirety of the Demon Clan and the entirety of the Goddess Clan still hate his guts for his acts from 3000 years ago, despite some of them being done with the best of intentions.

I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. Meliodas has lost a ton of fights and has also clearly been portrayed as inferior to tons of characters. He lost to Guila and the Holy Knights twice, couldn't beat Hendrickson on his own, got stomped by Galan(though he did stomp him back later, I suppose) and lost to the Ten Commandments. Hell, in the manga, he even gets another major loss just after revealing another power up.

Meliodas really isn't boring. Though, if you're anime only, I suppose I can see why you think that. The reveals from the manga will likely give you an entirely new perspective, but I don't want to throw out spoilers without your consent.
