The russian spy trained to withstand torture and mind games, AKA Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow.
She quite LITERALLY fooled Loki. You know, the god of mischief.
Cap, the guy started out a shrimp, no physical strength at all to rely on. He grew from that, mentally sound and strong. Dude jumped on a grenade to save his crew. I hope he gets a buff, perhaps he gets to wear the gauntlet, he’s the only one worthy of it anyways.
Thor.
Cap is leading the poll naturally since he is the symbol of will power and heart. He never hesitate to put his life on stake or sacrifice it. But if you think about, Thor has lost more than anyone else here. Lost his parents, brother, friends, Kingdom, people and yet he didn't break. Captain hasn't shown the mental strength of taking that many losses and still keep going.
@silvanus: Thor? No way, the guy has always been powerful and ended up having a mental breakdown asking his dead father for guidance still. Luckily he bounced back but it took his dead dad reassurance that he’s not god of hammers. Honestly Thor has been quite mentally weak from his first movie as a spoiled child to someone losing his weapon and basically giving up.
Cap was born physically weak but instead of giving up like most do, did everything he could to make a difference by joining the military and wasn’t afraid to die. His physical weakness has made him mentally the strongest of all the avengers. No one comes close.
@gateofbabylon: I don't think Dr.Strange ever was an Avenger in the MCU. Tony told Spider-man he was now an Avenger, but I don't recall anything pointing to Dr.Strange becoming an Avenger. They just worked together due to circumstance.
@santiagomormon: Everyone has their weak moments right? Cap wasn't able to tell Tony the truth about his parents. He was unable to stop Receiving from blowing himself when he mentioned about Bucky. Thor had his weak moments too. He was fighting an enemy who is a league above him and if she isn't defeated, not just his people but all will fall. And he was without his greatest weapon then. Thor didn't give up like you said. He fought Hela without his weapon. She just turned out to be too powerful.
When was the last time Cap fought an enemy he couldn't defeat?
Granted, Thor was a spoilt child in his first movie. But don't forget how he became worthy again. What display of mental strength has Cap ever displayed that Thor hasn't done?
Thor lost it all, asgard is gone, brother died, best friend died, father died, hammer got destroyed, girlfriend dumped him, his people slaughtered. And he still was coming for thanos
@silvanus: your kidding right? Cap was born a weak, fragile, sickly human. Thor even stripped of his powers was still a muscular strong individual. Caps life has been longer as a fragile and weak human than super enhanced. Can you imagine how many times he was probably made fun of or bullied in life? The mental strength it takes to never give up from trying to be a good person, a leader, a hero? Thor never had to go through that. He was born powerful, born a prince, born with ungodly gifts. And even when he was rightfully stripped he still was badass human. There are a lot of people who born with his powers and given the opportunity to be Thor would do much greater than him. But if put in Caps shoes, born a weak and fragile human, most would have given up. There would have been far less people becoming the Cap we have today. And don’t forget Cap has lost a lot too, he was frozen in ice, came out and his entire time period was gone. His family and friends gone. The love of his life an old woman. And if he got with her that takes some damn strong mental strength. Lol jk
Thor because it took Scarlet Witch's TP the longest to affect him he has the most mental strength clearly
@santiagomormon: There is that. I never said Cap wasn't strong willed. But you are downplaying Thor just because he was always strong. But since TDW, Thor was having losses. His mother. And seemingly, his brother by the end. In Ragnarok it was far worse. People often miss that since the movie was a funny one. He became a king who lost his kingdom. Well, he chose to sacrifice his kingdom to save his people, only to lose them too later. Worst part is that most of this happened right before his eyes while he was powerless to stop. For someone who lived his life as one of the most powerful beings, that is a terrible state to be in. But all of this only added to his conviction. We later see his conviction when he opened the forge.
I concede that I missed how Steve was been bullied in his past but held on to his determination. But Thor too has shown immense strength of mind, just in a different way. And it is not often recognised because he is strong.
