Poll: Who's more iconic: Sherlock Holmes or Dracula? (38 votes)

Sherlock Holmes 24%
Dracula 76%

Both are very influential characters from British literature, both served as inspirations for Batman.

Sherlock Holmes wasn't the British name for him so Dracula.

I would say Dracula is more iconic in pop culture but most people don't associate him with the British Novel.

@the_kidd: Yeah, he's a household name even though not many people have read his book.

Dracula. Like it or not Vampires are a popular thing due to him. Even without the great Holmes stories he didn't exactly invent mystery

Come to think of it, Dracula has been played by more actors than any other fictional character, like ever.

Both are so hugely iconic any difference is insignificant. That said, I think horror has slightly more mass appeal than detective stories, so Dracula.

I'm going with Dracula. But I bet they're more Sherlock Holmes movies than Dracula movies.

Great question.

Dracula. It's a brilliant concept for a villain.

Whereas Jesus shed His blood to give us eternal life in Heaven, Dracula sheds humans' blood to give himself eternal life.

Nice. I kind of forgot why Dracula and how he was iconic.

@stormshadow_x: He's one of the inspirations for Batman too, without Dracula, Batman would not have been the same as he is.
