Who should take over the MCU Guardians of Galaxy franchise?
@geekryan: The problem with Taika is that he's funny but he's not nearly as funny as he thinks he is.
- I would say nobody:
- The Russo Brothers’s style definitely wouldn’t work. They don’t have enough heartful creativity (phrasing is hard)
- It’s hard to gauge animated directors but Chris Miller seems like a decent choice.
- Taika Waitti is a pretty good choice
- Sam Raimi’s the better choice because he shares more of Gunns heart and quirkiness then the others but I’d rather he make Doctor Strange 3.

I agree, but most of the actors from GotG are amazing with comedy, so it would help. Most of the L&T cast are not known for being comedic actors.
Not Taika, please. The Guardians' childlike humor is too much for me even with Gunn, with Taika I'd throw up.
Taika should not even be allowed to direct MCU films anymore, honestly.
OT: I like the first option. Retire them and bring in the Annihilators. It's been a good ride with GOTG, I think putting them to rest is the better option right now.

You can just end it where it is, on a high note.
@platinumchalice: Shyamalan is still a better director than some MCU directors like Cait Shortland, whoever the hell directed Captain Marvel, Peyton Reed and Taika Waititi.
