Who should replace the original Avengers in the MCU?

Avengers 4 will be "the end of the Avengers as we knew them".

That means that very few of, if not none of the original Avengers members will be a part of the team in Phase 4. While this doesn't necessarily mean killing all of them off, here's who should replace them if they die or leave the team.

Captain America - Bucky Barnes

Even if he makes it out of Avengers 4 in one piece, I still see Steve Rogers handing his shield over to someone else. While this could be Sam Wilson or even John Walker, Bucky seems like the most worthy replacement.

Iron Man - Amadeus Cho

And no, I'm not talking about that dork from The Incredible Hulk.

I'd actually plan for the "real" Amadeus Cho to be the son of that guy, since it would line up with the timeline and his mother Helen was introduced in Age of Ultron. If Iron Man dies in Avengers 4, (which he likely will) Amadeus Cho, who in the comics is one of earth's smartest people, would be a worthy replacement. Speaking of worthiness...

Thor - Valkyrie

I don't see Thor dying, but I do see him rebuilding Asgard and retiring from the Avengers. And if that happens, I could totally see him handing his role on the team - and maybe even his hammer - over to Valkyrie.

Hulk - She-Hulk

Like Thor, I can't see Hulk dying, but I can't see him on the Avengers in Phase 4. Since Kevin Feige wants more female Avengers, he should totally incorporate She-Hulk into a future Avengers film, even if Universal won't let Marvel give her her own film.

Hawkeye - Kate Bishop

Hawkeye is confirmed to become Ronin in Avengers 4, so he doesn't even need to die for a replacement to come along. That replacement should totally be Kate Bishop, the girl who in the comics was trained to be his replacement after he seemingly died stopping an army of Kree summoned by an insane Scarlet Witch. Especially if we're gonna have the Young Avengers someday.

Black Widow - Monica Chang

Honestly, I don't see Black Widow dying or leaving the team, but if she does, Monica Chang, the Ultimate Black Widow, would be a good replacement.

This replacement BS is what ruined Marvel Comics after Secret Wars. Bringing a similar concept into the MCU is a TERRIBLE idea.

@thespartanb345t: I actually said that I didn't WANT certain characters replaced, but if Marvel kills off characters that that's who should replace them.

The Avengers might as well not exist if everyone is replaced. If not, then they wouldn't have to follow the same concept as the original ones.

Not sure if they should still be called the Avengers, but an ensemble of Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Wasp, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Falcon, Bucky and Black Panther would make a decent team in the future.

Completely disagree with what's listed here though, no offence but it seems kind of needless to replace all of the original members with carbon copies.

Alright, I'm seeing a TON of hate here. It's as if I pitched that Marvel should make a superhero version of "The Room" or something like that.

I DON'T WANT THESE CHARACTERS REPLACED.

The whole point of the article is showing potential replacements who I'd only want on the team IF the other heroes die or exit the team after Avengers 4. From what it looks like, you guys paid no attention to this post.

I can see Bucky. I'd hate the Cho as Iron Man. The others are reasonable if stuff happened.

As people said, replacing them woth carbon copy just seem stupid and lazy, no offense. They can totally reinnovate the team, using some of the newer characters of the mcu, and make more movies with more new characters.

Wasp

Ant-Man

Core team

If these characters happen in the MCU as the core roster, the DCEU would look like Godfather films by comparison.
