Dude, we're voting for Hal Jordan, not John Stewart.

Stop hiring people because of what they look like or how popular they are. Even if you like Batfleck or Gadot or Momoa or Heard, if you said they were the single greatest actor on planet Earth to play that part, you’re lying and you know it. Maybe Gadot is developing into that, but the point still stands.

This is the biggest difference between Marvel and DC movies right now. Downey was a weird pick at the time, but they did it because they believed he was the single best actor on planet Earth to play the role. They could have done what DC does so easily with Captain America. The guy from Push couldn’t be further from the comic. But they went with his chops. You can make anyone look good in cgi Green Lantern action scenes, but it’s what he’s doing out of the mask that makes the movie.

They could have had Jamie Foxx or Will Smith to be Black Panther, but they went with the best actor they could find. This is how you get Benedict Cumberbatch in a super hero movie, didn’t exactly look straight out of the comic when they got him.

Go out and have auditions, get the best possible actor you can. Worry about him embodying the part later. Wahlberg? Dornan? Cena? Krasinski? Come on. Who’s the guy from Avatar? That would be a very DC thing to do.

Look up Damon Daunno. That’s my pick, a dude who can actually make the movie compelling. Doesn’t matter if anyone’s heard of him... the moment they announce it he’ll be famous. Everyone learned who Gal Gadot was long before BvS came out. Same with Cavill before MoS.

Bradley Cooper. I could see a Chris Kyle-esque Green Lantern working on the big screen.
