Who should be the villain in Man Of Steel 2?

I was going to say Mongul, but when I thought about it, I realized he'd be better for a Justice League movie. Instead, I chose Brainiac.

You are right, but Mongul is too similar to Darkseid and Thanos.

I'm gonna say Mongul. I'd rather they save Brainiac since I see him as a pretty insurmountable threat who would be great later down the road. War-World would be a great way to get away from some of the political commentary that bogged down BvS, and just have a really fun and exciting movie.

Mxy. Have Tim Burton help with making that movie. MoS meets Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp as Mxy?

@bullpr: my vote also goes to parasite. i think i would be good to see supes drained on the back foot, and maybe have another leaguer cameo and get absorbed as well, so supes has to deal with dual power sets. might be good to have another minor villain make an appearance, only to quickly get dispatched

Well if you've seen Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman, there is no doubt that Lex will be there, and not as a good guy. But I would love to see Brainiac and Bizarro.

They could do that with Brainiac as well if they wanted.

Atomic Skull would be neat and unexpected.

Brainiac would be a logical step in expanding Kryptonian/alien lore. But I wouldn't mind seeing Superman as a gladiator on Warworld.

Would be cool. Might need a super-powered (physically) villain to back him up though, and then you start to get a convoluted story like BvS.

This version of Lex Luthor is a bad joke.

Any kind of character development Metallo and Cyborg Superman could motivate in Supes would be redundant after BvS.

I can't see Bizarro as a main villain.

Brainiac has "final villain" written all over him. The only Superman villain who can top him is Mxyzptlk, and that would require establishing him as a trickster first.

Parasite could be a good idea, and he could be used to emphasize Clark's empathy with other people.

Mongul could work, and it would open space for Superman.

I mean at this point does it sound any worse than a Cave Troll or a Suicide Squad designed to fight "the next Superman" (somehow lmao) going up against Enchantress? I mean its no more nonsensical than those but at this point it could work. Ultra Humanities entire angle is that he wants to put his brain into another body right? I mean maybe they could scrap the gorilla aspect and have him try to put into a Kryptonian body or something if that sounds too silly.
