Who Should be the Face of MARVEL?

Marvel has many popular characters obviously and many that represent Marvel well, but i've noticed(idk but you may have realized this before me) that Spider-Man is the Face of Marvel. Well I think it may change or it has already changed. Who is it? To me it seems like the new face of Marvel is Iron Man. What do you think? Am I wrong? Should Spider-Man or Iron Man be the Face of Marvel or someone else? (P.S i'm a Wolverine fan just saiyan 2)

Who can challenge Spider-Man for the Spot, Face of Marvel?

I think its either spiderman or ironman. i think both of them are the most popular character in marvel even in other country and even in anyone that do not read superhero comic books.

But it should be Wolverine.

Spider-Man based on popularity, Iron Man based on quality.

Spider-Man but Iron Man and Wolverine are about as close as anyone will or has ever come to challenging him for the position.

Captain America for his leadership and iconic traits. He's basically Marvel's version of Superman.

If were voting based on popularity, it would easily be Spider-man.

With the name, 'Captain Marvel' and the title, 'Earth's Mightiest Hero', shouldn't she be the face of Marvel?

As for "who should it be?" I'd definitely go with Spider-Man. Peter Parker is an every-man. He's the hero we can all relate to. He's the hero who worries about making his rent. He's the hero who has to juggle work, relationships and saving lives. He's the hero who tries his best, but even then the world doesn't play along. I can't think of a better face for Marvel.

Yep pretty much this. He isn't just Marvel's most popular character but also one of the top 3 comic-heroes. The day any other marvel character poses a significant popularity threat too the likes of Superman or Batman then we'll talk about who it might be. As It stands its definitely the web-swinger. As for who should be i'm quite happy with Spider-man although I honestly think Hulk would also do a good job of it.

I would want it so much to be CD. But, sadly, she has a long way to go until she can come close to being the face of Marvel.

That's your top 100 selling issues for 2012 when restricted to a single face. I did not count titles such as X-Men or Avengers (or AvX) where there was not a single clear starring character. If you cross out Amazing 700 as not counting because it was the last issue of Amazing which gave it extra sales, and similarly boot all the #1s from Marvel Now, the only book that appears at all is Amazing Spiderman.

Comparitively, Batman dominates the sales with 26 spots in the top 100 comics of the year. Batman isn't just the face of DC, he's the face of all comic books.

In my opinion yes. Carol is the top female face of Marvel. In fact if they hadn't rebooted her series as Captain Marvel she may actually be more popular by now (that reboot lost a lot of fans. Even I was dubious but I ended up sticking with it).

i am new to marvel and honestly never consider ironman as the face of marvel...to me its either spidey or cap!

Spider-Man has been the face of Marvel for decades. Only recently has Iron Man been a close second. And you can't deny that Iron Man is a big name for Marvel now, just look at the Wolverine treatment he's been getting lately! He's featured in:

• Iron Man
• Avengers
• Avengers Assemble
• Guardians of the Galaxy
• New Avengers
• A+X (to some extent)

And I'm sure he will be crossing over with everyone once Iron Man 3 comes out.
