Who should be taller, Batman or Superman?

I'm used to Superman being slightly taller:

Superman in pretty much everything i've seen the two of them in, has been an inch taller.

WHich I find odd considering the staff said that Batman was meant to look taller for "symbolic" reasons.

I don't care who's taller as long as it's not blatant. In the end, it's not the size of the hero but how he uses it.

Superman. I like my Batman hunched over.

Doesn't matter much. Bruce is 6'2" and Clark is 6'3" I believe. Not too big of a difference.

@slayz: Pretty much everything has Supes being a little bit taller, so I'd say Superman but in regards to BvS, I actually like Batman being the taller one.

but actors can't change their height to fit a role so, as far as BvS, is concerned Superman is 6'1 and Batman is 6'4 which is why the turkish airline clips looked weird towards the end.

Supes is more of a "big guy" character. I'd put him in the neighborhood of 6'4". Batman is built for speed and agility, probably around 5'11". Like in Year One, as opposed to the rest of Frank Miller's Batman works, where he's a freakin' man-mountain.

They have a similar height. It shouldn't be noticiable.

@darthmummy: I actually consider Bruce big too, like someone who works out alot, while Clark is farm boy big.

Superman should be taller and calm level headed, Batman should be more muscular and intimidating, not to be mess with.

I agree Bruce works out and is in great shape, but not super big as a basic build (height, structure). Bruce is muscularly well-developed (shows that his physical powers are a by-product of self-determination while making his athleticism believable), whereas Clark is simply built big (shows that his physical powers are intrinsic to him as an individual while acting as a visual cue of his working class, agricultural origins).

Exactly. If anything, I'd show Dick as stronger and faster than Bruce (as an adult) due to the inherent physicality of the character (ex-acrobat, extroverted personality). Bruce's melancholy and catholicity of knowledge stands in contrast to this; I think he is a mind first and foremost, even though writers like to portray a body-builder "detective" who gets by on technology.

And while we're talking about what characters should be, I think I'll add that I don't necessarily see Nightwing as the definitive outcome of his journey.

Could you change it to include Wonder Woman? I feel that she should be the tallest of the three.

Supes is usually taller but not by much. Bats is like what 6'1-6'2 usually. Supes is 6'4 I believe.

Eh, Superman should be the taller one because it's supposed to play into the whole big farm guy thing. Batman being a inch shorter or more doesn't really matter. He can fold you in half no matter how tall he is. Hell, the only reason he's taller in the film is because they want bats "to tower over" Superman. Which kinda hints that Bats is overcompensating for something... I'm not saying what.

I like the fact that Batman and Wonder Woman are the same height.

I like Superman to be large and imposing in a way, so Superman should be taller.

Superman should be taller, but not by much. One inch difference like their comic book counterparts. Batman should be a big ripped guy, and Superman should be more muscular.

Superman should never be too big to induce fear. He should be 6.2-6.3 which looks very proportionate and not very intimidating.

Batman should be a big guy who intimidates criminals just by his physique. I also like the idea of a human character look bigger than a Godlike character.

Superman because that's just how it is. Joker is taller than both. Steel is taller than Doomsday.

Batman should be 6'8 or 6'9. Superman should be 6'11.

Supes is shorter then batman in the movies because of the actors. Only by like an inch or two though. However in the recent comics in Rebirth Supes TOWERS over Batman. Hard not to notice in some pages.

I like that he really is built like a brickhouse, instead of a pretty boy bodybuilder. That's what a muscular farmer's son would REALLY look like. Batman Ain't exactly small. So the fact that supes has gone through a growth spurt says something for just how imposing he is. Heck 10 year old Jon is taller than a 13 year old Damian. That's genetics! He's even been nearly 8 feet tall that one time he was being supercharged with solar energy. Like Blue Beetle once said, Supes is the kind of guy that makes you feel small and important at the same time. Which is kinda why he hunches alot as Clark Kent.

There was this one Scene I remember from "Superman vs The elite" where the magic hat guy is surprised to see superman and just simply says "Your really tall" while having a shocked expression on his face.

I want both to look virtually just as tall as each other and superman being built a bit more robust

Superman should be bigger and physically larger but Batman should still be scarier.

I remember a recent Superman Rebirth cover where both Superman and Batman were on it along with their sons. Batman looked like Wolverine was under the mask lol

Superman on average tends to be drawn slightly taller and broader squared shoulders which helps in his character and posing and batman more hunched with shoulders slanted and streamlined like his Cape classically covering his body
