Superman (this is coming from a Thor fan)
They have a lot of overlap in powers, so let's just look where they are different:
With Superman powers i could still be a jerk sometimes with Thor would have to be "Worthy" of his hammer. So Superman
Do I get to use Mjolnir?
Yes, that kind of comes with the package. You can assume that you are "Worthy" and all that.

Is there a way to read that comic online?
Superman cus he's stronger an' more durable, an' Supes's fists are much harder so I can beat more a**es with Superman's powers.
@bones309: Superman can control his senses

So I'd have to learn to ignore all the constant cries for help? It just seems like it'd take it's toll. Then again, I think Thor can hear those that call his name.

Yes that could be a problem because you'd find it difficult not to help those in need.
Thor's. I just think they have a more esoteric feel to them that's awesome.
The same problem arises with Thor, if Thor's power is real (granted by Odin of course) you'll have all sorts of super powered rouges/villains after you!
@eternityx: Exactly...If you fly too close to a Red Star, you could be stuck in space & possibly die.
Thor, because I'll probably want to fly to other worlds and I don't suddenly want to loses my powers because I'm next to a Red star, also I'd hate for people to get a hold of Kryptonite.
Yeah that could present a problem. What happens if something happens to our sun that would affect Superman's powers, right? I mean if our sun explodes or something one day, Superman would be in trouble. But Thor could just teleport to Asgard, couldn't he?
I also heard that yellow stars eventually become red stars with age, is that true? Because if it is, Superman could be in trouble.

Superman would have to fly to a different Yellow or Blue star to retain his powers, it wouldn't affect Thor at all.
I was just being tongue and cheek. The OP says we'd have their powers, I don't see the rest coming along frankly, we aren't becoming Superman or Thor or anything, just their power-set.
Superman. X-ray vision is more useful in real life than thor's strength
After all the snow we had this winter, I would think weather control would be far more useful.
If i have that kinda power i would totally try to dominate and enslave the earth so i will lose to be able to lift Thor's hammer in couple hours. So i would rather have Superman because of that.
I'll take supes. Technically his new suit allows him to store energy like in return to kryton so he still had his powers under the red sun and is the red sun even a real thing and same with kryptonite assuming you mean the use of these powers in real life. Also I don't fell like carrying a hammer around all day and weather control is only useful for creating snow days during school. Also Superman has nearly all around stats and I probably wouldn't be worthy of the hammer since I'll pretty much have to be noble and whatever the whole time,
humm this is very difficult and both would be fine so ill just weigh it up
SUPERMAN
yes i know these may not be all of them but that's the main ones and the only ones i care about
THOR*
so problems with both as well... Superman power set would be useless if you ran into a red sun while flying through space. Thor's relies mostly on having Mjolnir,he does have some without though.
So i think that i would choose Thor because he is more versatile and has cool abilities like energy absorption, weather control,Godblast and lots more.
*This would give me the right to call myself a God too

Also keep in mind that if you had Superman's X-Ray vision and look at the wrong thing, you might accidently set off his heat-vision like what happened in Smallville. Which could accidently start fires or kill the person your looking at. Which Miiiiight be a bit of a problem, no?
Can I fuse them for SHAZAM?
I wish you could simply have both but if you were forced to make a tough choice like this. I want to know which would be the wiser choice all around.
@darkseid1006: Yeah, those are some good points. You don't even have to worry about relying on Mjolnir because its not likely that you'll ever be separated from it for long. You can hook it to your belt to keep your hands free, you can call it to you no matter how far away it is, and you can sort of shape shift Mjolnir into anything you want for your convenience. There are several people who said that they don't want to lug a hammer all day, well they don't have to. They just forgot about Mjolnir's abilities.
@green_skaar: Yes you would have access to every single one of their powers, weapons, items, abilities, etc. You would have their Physiology. You could live as long as they could.
But you wouldn't be them because you would retain your own personality, morality, free will, etc. IE: You could do what you want with said powers.
For Superman's case you would be another Kryptonian, equal to superman in every way.
For Thor, you would be the most powerful Asgardian God, second only to Odin himself. Odin would adopt you as his own son. You could be considered the new Thor, God of Thunder. Let's assume the old Thor died fighting the Midgard Serpent and you replaced him.
You would automatically be "Worthy" of Mjolnir upon getting these powers. Since you could talk to Odin, the one who enchanted the hammer, you could convince him to allow you to do what you want with the hammer without worrying about losing the worthiness too easily.
Look at Thor in his movie for instance, when he became unworthy he didn't lose the ability to lift the Hammer until Odin stripped him off it forcefully. I am guessing there is at least some degree of leniency there. I suppose you could try convincing Odin to "reset" Mjolnir or something if you can't lift it anymore.
But for sanity's sake lets just say you won't lose "Worthiness" no matter what you do. Sound fair?
Thor is will live for eons. Supes won't.
There're implication that Superman can probably live a very long time also, I don't think we ever see Superman aged past his adulthood (though in some alternate realities, Superman did aged).

I think that it was hinted that Superman can live for at least 1000 years, though some hinted that he can live forever.
I think he might be able to live as long as the sun is still yellow, though blue works too.
