I have been a member of ComicVine for a whole two months........ I AM A NOOB!!!..... I will remain a noob for a good year in comparison to how long some of you guys have been on here. I know there have been appreciation threads before, but not for over a year. Since the last appreciation thread, how many new members have joined??? I imagine alot.
I am hooked on ComicVine and I am shocked that I, being such a Marvel geek, only really discovered ComicVine two months ago. Am I a geek for admitting ComicVine is now my homepage on my laptop? Hmm?
I am certain that every single user, member even moderator has learned something new about certain characters in the comic world through ComicVine. We have all learned, laughed, lost our tempers, been impressed and been shocked as members of this site.
So...... I want to say Thank you for such a great site. Thank you, G-Man, The Great Mamboozo, Red L.A.M.P, Babs, Funkify and all the rest that contribute to running this quality site.
I hope everyone else new and old can quickly say thanks, even if it's a one word contribution, do it.!!!!
um, ahem...loves a pretty strong word...i mean, i like what i see and all, but comicvine hasn't even taken me out for fagioli and piccata yet you know? sure, we've held hands every now and then, but that's just a mutual friendship thing.
Congratulations G'bandit, you win the award of being the first to put a downer on a positive thread. I know you were only joking, but you put a pretty big picture up just to show everyone that you think I'm a kiss ass. I'm not offended or anything, I'm just pointing out that the first half of your contribution was to be negative. I don't understand why so many people like to be the first to point out the negative and try and embarrass people. *sigh* Did it occur to you that I genuinly mean what I said? That I do appreciate this site and that I have NOTHING to gain by kissing ass. Again, I know you were only joking...... But it wasn't funny. You only stated the obvious to those that prefer to see the negative in things before the positive.

Is not like your opinion will matter to me and will enlighten my way of seen things obviously if you would know me you woldn't mind and would just go with it, laugh and joke around about it like the rest of the CV world.

Just got here a couple weeks ago, and it's a damn fine little message board community. I can easily get my Geek-Fix and talk about such things with people who actually know what I'm talking about.
If Comic Vine was a woman: I would, of course, take you wherever you wanted to go. If the plans was up to me, I would take you... to uh... to NASA. What we would do is we would take a trip up that elevator And we would go and look at the stars, and I will pack us a picnic basket.

I really appreciate the site. It's a great source of information on comics and reviews. What also interesting? If the series you know about isn't covered. You can add the information and let others get to know the comics you love.
Thank you to every one involved in making this site possible. It gives me a much needed break and keeps me updated on my favorite form of entertainment = D My only complaint is I don't contribute near as much information as I would like.
Comicvine is a dream come true it is great. I love disscussing characters and seeing who thinks who would win. I love to edit to show my comic knowledge.
ComicVine is the first forum that i really wanted to join. and i love it.
It's gigantic encyclopedia is f%ckin' rad!... It has introduced me to many characters that i would have never even thought about reading about... Guy Gardner, the Question, Etrigan, etc etc.
let's face it. i was a marvel man, but thanks to comicvines encyclopedia im now mainly a DC guy.....sorta.
