Not big on Sci-FI? Have you see the stuff Batman creates? The upcoming Batman event/Dark Nights Metal is all Multiversal Batman shenanigans,It's super sci-fi.
I don't read current Batman comics. My favorites were his stuff from the 80's. I am not a fan of what has been going on with him in recent years. DC seems to shove him into everything now days, similar to what Marvel did to Wolverine in the mid 2000's.
When street level heroes use sci-fi, it doesn't make me stop liking them. My favorite comic character is Daredevil. At his best, when Frank Miller, Ed Brubaker, and Brian Bendis wrote him, he was very grounded in reality, but even his comics have used heavy sci-fi elements. Gerry Conway's work on the book noticeably did, or more recently, Mark Waid did the same. Personally, I am not a fan of those runs, a but character having a run that I don't like has never been reason for me to stop liking the character.
@o__o: And I'm the exact opposite. I love scifi and Godlike characters. Detective shows have never interested me, the only exception is Classic Sherlock Holm's, novels, movies, tv series. Love them for some reason.
The only Sci-Fi thing that I really like is post-apocalyptic or dystopian futures. Something about seeing characters fend for their survival in a messed up world seems interesting to me.
