Poll Who is your fav Marvel female hero? (201 votes)
My favorite has to be between Blackwidow, Ms.marvel, and X23.

Black Cat, Black Widow, X-23, Emma Frost, Psylocke, and Elektra for me because they are all equally sexy.
You forgot Captain Marvel. ;-)
On a side note, when do we start calling her Captain Marvel? Everywhere I look it's still Ms. Marvel. LOL (kidding)
@tg1982: Oh damn, I forgot sexy Captain Marvel. Lol. I think she is officially Captain Marvel now.

LOL. Yeah she is. It's kind of funny. I remember at the end of Fear Itself, when Steve became Captain America again, and everyone was saying "Captain America (Steve Rogers)". And I was, like, just say Captain America! Bucky is the Winter Soldier now! LOL.
I voted for four of the characters and thank you OP for letting us do multiple choices since I could have never narrowed my selection down heh heh - do wish Rogue and Valkyrie were there but oh well.
Emma Frost - She is impeccably witty, blunt and concise when required, sarcastic and sardonic when necessary, a result of top breeding, great efforts by great writers like Morrison, Ellis, Carey and Whedon. A fine blend of intelligence, sexuality, independence and brazenness. I find her to be one of the more complex characters in fiction and a gateway drug into comics and X-Men. X-Men was already filled with strong, independent 'Claremozons' so that Emma was able to carve out her own niche was impressive to me.
Sif - She's basically a super powered version of Xena, large, in charge, and great at hitting big things really hard with her fists or sword. She also has the fish out of water situation going for her whenever she is on Earth and when she is in her native Asgard she is respected and admired as a great and skilled warrior and defender of Asgard and. Have always liked her but her recent run in Journey Into Mystery helped create a stable and consistent basis for the character that other writers can now use as a template.
X-23 - She is such a tragic and powerful character with a dark and unusual background and history despite the characters in narrative age and also history as a fictional character. She has so much potential and her story and characterization resonates so strongly with readers, if Marvel is careful with her she could easily grow into one of their biggest characters. I like her because she has suffered and experienced so much pain in such a short little while but is always trying to overcome that early adversity and its effects to just be a good person.
Elektra - She is such a great character for the comic medium. She has this edge that many other characters don't have, I am not sure I would even classify her as a hero, but her characterization can be a bit wild at times, but to me she is this silent, introspective, intelligent and skilled assassin whose purpose and motivation is to rid the world of the worse types of people. Usually in comics I prefer practicality and realism, but with Elektra I find a character I like when they are being dramatic, poetic and gratuitous.

These.
I couldn't pick,I like most all Marvel female characters. In fact,I like all of their characters.
Same with DC. I can't pick.
@cameron83: @maccyd: Thankfully yes it was multiple choice, I have trouble trying to pick from so many amazing characters. I have too many favorites heh heh. Oh yes I agree cameron83, variety is the spice of life!

It should've had more characters,though..
but I concur :p
I mean,it IS missing some characters like Misty Knight,Squirrel Girl and such, but it's alright.
I just can't believe no one picked Black Widow or Black Cat or Psylocke yet >:(
Ah jeez this is hard. Black Widow probably. I also really like Psylocke, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, Scarlet Witch, Songbird, Gunna (Troll), Nico Minoru, Misty Knight and Monica Rambeau.
Rogue if she stole powers from Phoenix and Scarlet Which and caused an "M Saga" story.
Hell while she at it she steals Bill Compton's Lillith blood.
Went with Elektra. I think she's the only Marvel female I've read. She-Hulk is on my list and maybe Ms. Marvel somewhere down the line.
@judasnixon: Heck yeah
What about Medusa?
Agreed. Medusa should have been an option. Hopefully she will be next time.
@norrinboltagonprime21: @catfightfan: I agree with both of ya.
This is a very good list, but a few more names would make it even better.
Well, there is an "other" option, there are hundreds of women in Marvel, the OP can't possibly list them all.
@chem86: this is marvel not dc
