Who is the weakest person that can tank an attack like that?
@sc: reference to a feat of Wally west’s where he knocks out Züm (a white Martian) by running close to lightspeed around the planet several times which due to physics made his density increase towards infinity, thus it’s a punch with incredible power, he claimed he can do this punch a thousand times in a second but in the feat only needed it once. Jay Garrick has also done it before
@sc: the specific feat said a hair short of light speed iirc, but flash is by no means limited to running at light speed, all of them can go well beyond light speed. You could argue the fastest ones don’t really have a limit, their speed is incalculable. For a long time the running joke/meme on comicvine was flash could beat anyone with enough IMPs
@sc: some later statements say he hits with the mass of a dwarf star. Some are skeptical about that but a later statement said he can kick with the mass of a moon. I think it’s pretty reasonable to think if he runs fast enough his best IMPs are over planetary in terms of power
@firestarlord73194: Hmm, what does hit with the mass of a dwarf star mean?
Thats odd, as although a dwarf star and even say a moon, have significantly more mass than say... your average common house cat or basketball, their masses are nowhere even close to infinite mass. Dwarf stars and moons also have very divergent degrees of mass. My kitten for example is a 'fruit buster'. In that she can squash grapes... watermelon or pumpkins on the other hand...
Also in terms of comparison to 'infinite mass', a dwarf star would be closer to a grape. Does the speedforce protect Flash's hand when he punches this hard? Or does he have to be careful not to injure himself?
@sc: I think the point was his mass would of continued getting heavier the faster he went. Regardless it’s pretty powerful, he does have speed feats that fall into the infinite/incalculable range, like running into hypertime, outrunning the embodiment of death to the end of the universe, outrunning instant teleportation across the universe. If he threw a punch at those speeds it’d probably be closer to infinite mass, but the time he did do an IMP i think “infinite” may not be an apt description as to how much his mass actually was at the time. And yes flash’s durability is pretty impressive, he has a speed force aura that has been stated to be stronger than Superman’s durability
@firestarlord73194: What are some objects we know that have infinite mass for comparison?
So the speedforce aura would protect Flash's hand from being vaporized if he hit something at high speed? Right right... do you know if this extends to any objects he picks up, or is it just Flash's own biological functions?
