Who is The Real Bad Guys in One Piece?

Pirates obviously, sure the Government is corrupted too but when there are people like Doffy, Crocodile, Moria, Blackbeard, Kaido, Big Mom in the world, what can you do? Not to say all pirates are bad, straw hats for example.

Both the government and pirates are bad but from a general point of view it would be the pirates.

The real bad guys are the Celestial Dragons leading the World Government.

Celestials.

Some pirates.

WG as a whole.

The marines as a whole are heroes. Akainu on the other hand IS evil.

What evil has he done besides killing one of his soldiers?

There's far too many variables to make a guess at this point. We don't know why the WG wants to suppress any knowledge of the One Piece or the Void Century, we don't know what exactly the Revolutionaries are after, we don't know what Blackbeard's end game is, and most importantly, we know crap about the nature of One Piece itself, and why its discovery would be such a earth shattering event.

Once we get the answers to the above questions, then only can we judge the WG's atrocities like the massacre of Oraha on a purely objective basis, and compare it to the Pirates.

Same goes for the Revolutionary army. We know absolutely squat about Dragon or what they really want at this point, except some vague goal of destabilizing the government, which seems kinda sinister on its own. The Revolutionaries are pretty much the White Walkers of One Piece, and will likely be revealed only near EoS. Until then, there's no reason to put them on a pedestal just because their head happens to be Luffy's dad.

I think... that Oda has been trying to say that deep down everyone is corrupted in some form or manner, that's why almost every group has evil people in it. Kinda feels that he is trying to convey that we are all flawed.

Pirates are scum. I hope the marines destroy them.

Both Marines and Pirates have a combination of both good and evil characters.

Gorosei appear to be evil so far but I could see Oda putting a spin on it.

There are more good marines than good pirates tbh.

Most marines idolize Garp who was a pillar of true Justice.

Outside of the Heart Pirates and the Strawhats Pirate throughout the Series have only been portrayed as Evil.

The 5 Elders and Imu and the Celestial Dragons are definitely the real villains here though.

Man, I swear most of you have brain rot. The wg has been enslaving and murdering people as they see fit since before pirates even existed enmass. Marines are mostly good guys? I guess nazi footsoldiers were mostly good guys too.. garp is true justice? Lol, dude just wanted to have good fights, sure he had a decent heart, but he had no issue putting that shit aside to follow orders, especially if it meant he could fight someone powerful.

The wg by far the worst, marines second worse, pirates after that ig. Good guys don't execute people "because their dad was a bad guy". They don't enslave entire populations, or genocide entire nations (multiple times). They don't do human hunts, or sit back and watch as they're conducted.

No wonder the real world is so shitty, I assume like most of you morons, the majority of people probably also hand waive atrocities and come up with whatever they can to convince themselves it's "for the greater good". Someone used BM as an antithesis to the wg, as if she's somehow way worse and justifies what they do/have done. But the WG was committing atrocities before BM was even born. Not to mention she basically is a small version of the WG, she protects a nation full of people and mostly let's them lead peaceful lives.

Any kind of issue/conflict that has happened, currently happening, or will happen is related to them in some way.

When you get down to it, the World Government/Marines are just glorified servants that carry out orders. Many idolized Garp and just want to bring peace, justice, and security to the world. And depending on the rank, they really can't say no when it's time to get down and dirty. Granted, there are some extremists (Akainu/Greenbull) that shouldn't have been on their side and should really not be given high positions of power, but that's the way it is for the system. Which is why they're more than likely to prosper in this line of business than others, thanks to their cruelty and cold mentality.
