Medaka Kurokami, there is no other answer. Her power was literally that she's the best at everything she witnesses or gets described to her.

That picture is not what a Mary Sue is. A Mary Sue is too perfect and is an idealized character. The person in that comic is just an asshole.

Every character from I/O. The verse is so hilariously overpowered its lowest of the lowest is PR Beyonder level.

And even unimportant characters that no one cares about and are generally low to mid tiers fodderizes said character above.

Batman

This is interesting since it seems like most people aren't bothered by this whereas other characters with said characteristics are treated like they're unbearable.

Gasp - pretty much all of my least favorite characters are on this list:

  • Wolverine
  • Batman
  • Superman
  • Hulk

I was going to say Spiderman, but I think he narrowly avoids being tarred and feathered because he is fallible.

is it? it seems the opposite instead.

there are other comic book characters with so-called perfect characteristics and they don't really get slammed with "Mary Sue" label much and yet when Batman has the same characteristics "Mary Sue" accusations are all over the place

People just use occasions like these to diss their least favourite characters regardless of whether or not they actually qualify to be labelled that way.

Finding an actual sue is a lot harder than it seems, I have for one have never used that term in all my posting history except recently for Arrow's Felicity and there are characters I dislike far more than her(Doomsday) and Felicity is far cry from being mega powerful or anything like that.

A Mary Sue is an author insert. Almost none of these are Mary Sues, they're just characters without enough character development or complexity.

Batman

OP clearly doesn't know what a Mary Sue is, and Batman has been proven to not be a mary sue by the mere fact that it is his name on the cover and his pic too. A Mary Sue is a secondary character that is seemingly better at everything than the main character, usually it is meant to be an author insert, where the writer tries to write him/herself in the story. Like how Hermione is better at everything than Harry Potter, so she can be considered a Mary Sue, but even though Harry Potter himself have performed some impressive feats, he still can't be considered a mary sue, because it is his name on the cover. Hope that helps.

By the picture defintioin I say Ben Tennsyon from Ben 10 when he a teenager. He acts like an asshole, yet treated as the ultimate saint hero for the most part.

Not really.

His friends constantly criticize him for his attitude, and even his own girlfriend ended him.

Not as famous as most mentioned already, but Matt Ward's Ultramarines and Grey Knights from 40k. Legit, he basically made his fan fic canon and wanked the hell out of the two chapters, even changing lore to outright state that others not only saw them as superior, but that the Ultramarines' leader was nearly every other chapter's "Spiritual Liege." Anyone who even knows a shred of 40k lore knows how idiotic that is.

TL;DR is that some fanboy actually made his wank canon, and the setting suffered for it for about several editions. Only now is the damage pretty much undone.

Oh, and Harry Potter is a massive Sue, literally accomplishes everything by plot.

I don't think the character in the comic you post fits the precise definition of a 'Mary Sue', OP.

Besides, I Rey is the first Mary Sue to come to mind.
