Which character in the comic book landscape would you say is the easiest for a writer interpret accurately? I would honestly say Deadpool, because of the simplicity of the nature behind his character.
Who is the easiest character in comics to write?
Honestly, there's no real answer to this. People can be familiar with the character all they want, yet still interpret it in a way that makes a lot of long time fans angry or miffed when they read their interpretation. Look at how Dan Slott wrote Peter Parker, or how Kittredge is writing her Witchblade run. These runs are generally not very well received, despite Slott writing Parker for well over 10 years, and Kittredge being self admittingly familiar with the original Witchblade run.
Deadpool is not simplistic. This is a lie created by media influence like video games, cartoons and youtube videos. As well as comics that are not actually his own title but guest appearances. Deadpool being a jokster and a parody and nothing else with no interesting or developed traits is misconception due to most people not reading Deadpool comics and instead just looking at everything else.
Peter's so called "problems" are over exaggerated by Raimi films and were not as nearly as forced as people think. And I say "were" because none of those problems have been actual problems for Peter Parker for quite some time. Decades actually. And even when he had them, he was pretty complex character. Saying he is easy to write because he <had> real life problems is not accurate.
Spider-Man, everyone has experienced Peter Parker's ordinary problems: falling behind on education, being broke, relationship problems etc.
Not really easy to write. Spider-man also has to have funny quips. Also its not enough to have him be relatable by just having him be broke, or having him have relationship problems.
Doomsday.
lmfao
ot spidy
@krleavenger: Sorry for the misconception.
@mister_surreal: I was bringing it up for informative purposes and my own opinion.
It's all good. Don't be sorry.
Doomsday.
@mister_surreal: @krleavenger: punisher ?
@mr_shazam0920: Totally agreed
Not sure if there is anyone , especially for those characters who have their own solos . Fans interpret with their own view of perspective towards them. I think fans do actually like to read those characters who show more heroism rather than more dark characters , which is probably be most simplistic for writers to writer them in better way for so many years .
Batman.
There are so many things you can do with him. You can have him trying to take down crooks, corrupt cops and other political corruption. You can also have him face the Supernatural, sci fi villains, rogue ninjas, aliens, or even have stories with him with the Justice League.
