Poll Who is the BEST CINEMATIC MARVEL VILLAIN? (59 votes)

Magneto (from Xmen 1,2,3, the McKellen version and his feats, including smarts, strategy, motives,ACTING) 47%
Thanos (smarts, motive, ACTING, yeah he's very powerful but keep in mind he has the stones, so be fair to the others) 41%
Apokalypse (From Xmen cinematic universe, also include smarts, motives, strategy, ACTING) 0%
Dr. Doom (from the 1 and 2 FF movies, motives, powers, smarts, ACTING) 2%
Dr. Octopus (from SpiderMan 2, same categories) 10%

I'm gonna ignore power levels and physical threat to heroes in my decision for the sake of fairness and say Mags with an honorable mention to Molina's Ock for acting. Ock was a genius in Spidey 2, but his strategy/planning that went into attempting to accomplishing his goals were super basic.

Magneto. He might be the second best CBM villain of all time (I think the first is obvious).

Magneto, only other villains that are here that were good are Thanos and Ock. Fassbender > Mckellon, but only so slightly tho imo.

I actually prefer Fassbender Magneto who I would probably put on the same level or very slightly above Thanos

Purely character wise doesn't really make sense to include power levels

Magneto by far. Thanos is a good villain, but his plans didn't make much sense.

Also, there should be a lot more villains on that list.

I really like Dock Ock. Thanos is great too, I'll have to finish the X-Men films before saying Magneto, haven't finished yet.

I guess I'll say Dock Ock, Thanos was played perfectly by Josh Brolin but like Legacy said, his intentions weren't that interesting. Dock Ock was played great too and he had much better motivations.

You haven't watched the first 3 X Men films?

X Men 3 came out 12 years ago.

But I prefer Fassbender's Magneto... And what are Apocalypse and Doom doing here? Honestly this list could be a lot longer, but they certainly shouldn't be included. Out of the ones named, I'm picking Thanos over Magneto (this version at least).

No lol. I thought it would be better to watch in Chronological order, and in a timeline I found there are 5 films before it.

After X Men 3 there isn't any chronological order. Each movie pretty much stands on it's own.

X Men First Class, X Men Day of Future Past, and X Men Apocalypse are technically part of the soft reboot trilogy. They do not acknowledge the original trilogy at all. And I do mean at all.

The X Men film continuity is all messed up now.

Not a single event that occurred in the original 3 films was acknowledged in Days of Future past. The only 2 connections were the actors who played these characters, and Logan's reaction to Jean. And even then Logan never acknowledged that she died in the same timeline.

I don’t care about feats so for me it’s a tie between Alfread Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

Out of the list, I'll go with Mags, even though I prefer Fassbender's version.

Vulture should be one of these guys.

The options given are not very good.

But it still had the best ones Magneto, Thanos or Ock

Why is Dr. Doom on this list? ?

Anyways, historically going by all MARVEL movies I’ll give it to Magneto due to McKellan’s and Fassbenders performances over the years with character
