Now, to some it may be a pointless to ask, just wait until the Supergirl issue that come out in April. But that's then, this is now (plus, this my first time posting my thoughts online. Also, if I'am right, I can rubb it in your face).
At first, I figrued it was just another Kryptonian women wanting to make a name for herself. However, after reading Supergirl #38, that line of thinking changed.
- spoiler alert- (You may wish to read Supergirl 38 before reading on.
At the very end of the issue, Superwomen is sent to retrieve Reactron, the guy with the gold kryptonite heart. After a breif struggle, Superwoman has Reactron pined ageist a wall, but he wasn't worred. Reaction just shot her with a burst of energy from his gold kryptonite core (he's like metallo). Normaly, gold kryptonite would shut off kryptonian powers for 10 seconds, but it had no effect on Superwoman. I was just as confused as Reaction was. The other shoe fell when Superwoman said "--whoever said I was Kryptonioan?"
Now it's possible that Superwoman's suit might protecter from krytonighte readation, but that would just be boring. I have a bet whos under that mask. Someone (in my opinion) forgotten, rembered only by a few. My bet on the identay of Superwoman is: Lyla.
In the Superman story line Superman: GODFALL ( my favorite), Lyla was a alien who lived in The Bottled City of Kandor that was in The Fortress of Solitude. Whan Superman was trapped in the city and forgot who he was, Lyla was able to trick Superman that he was on a unexploded Kryton and got mairred (it helped when every cell in her body it telepathic. In reality, she just wanted to get colse enoff to him to absope his powers. When she did, she left Kandor for Metropolis, wanting to have people worship her. Superman (after regaining his powers and meriores) was able to stop her. Afterword, she vanished and has not been seen seince. Could she be Superwomen?
Now, if it is Lyla, could she still have the krytonian powers she got from Superman and still be immune to kryptonie? Mybe. From the same story that Lyla apperied in was a cop in Kandor named Preus.
That or mybe the fact she's not a kryptonion. When Lyla absorbed Superman's powers, could she have somehow become immuine to krytonite?
The other reson I think it's Lyla is on the cover of Supergirl #35
On the left corner is a guy (who oddly looks just like Superman) wearing the same suit Superman wore during the GODFALL story line (The one with the red cape). Could the writters have put that image there to hint at a possible retun of Lyla or Preus?
Like I said, we'll just have to what and see. If I wrong, oh well, no big deal.
