Who is more skilled combat wise, MCU Thor or DCEU Wonder Woman?
I feel like WW is more skilled because she knows how to use more weapons than Thor. Idk if there's skill involved in swinging a hammer.

Diana, she can fight with sword, bow and hand to hand without having to rely on an powerful magic item. Thor is a good brawler.
They're equal in terms of movie fighting skill
@DammeFavour: Diana easily? Who has she outskilled, if I might ask?
We haven't really seen Diana do an H2H battle.
Weapons proficiency definitely and irrefutably goes to Diana.
It makes more sense to say Diana given her character but her showing against Doomsday didn't make it feel like she was much.
Diana certainly is more flashy but in terms of pure skill, I can see an argument for either one. Still leaning a bit more into Diana for the time being, the MCU hasn't done much in regards to Thor's skill as it has to Cap.
If we’re going by feats then Thor. People never seem to remember Thor taking down a large number of SHIELD agents while completely depowered. Those agents were stated to be some of the most highly trained in the world.
Diana has never fought anyone without her powers so we don’t know how much of what she does is her skill and how much are her stats.
@mr_shazam0920: because Thor has consistently been a brawler and basically just hits stuff with a hammer. Fighting hulk doesn't really require skill, just speed, ask blonsky
Thor made "some of the most highly trained professionals in the world look like a couple of minimum wage mall cops", while depowered, unarmed, and outnumbered. WW defeated multiple poorly trained human WW1 era soldiers with better gear, the element of surprise, massively better stats, and she was going all out.
Thor defeated multiple superhuman Asgardians warriors who can fodderize Dark Elves, all while outnumbered, unarmed, and holding back severely. WW defeated a handful of Amazons while training together. WW had her full gear and the Amazons have no feats whatsoever besides being stomped by paredemons and the aforementioned German soldiers despite having the element of surprise in the latter encounter.
Looking at their feats side by side it is clear that Thor is far more skilled than WW. Thor even managed to stomp Hulk, a character with superior stats, while holding back.

Blonsky? Are you referring to the former special-ops commando with the British Royal Marines?
@DammeFavour: you didn’t answer my question... but nice straw man.
@mr_shazam0920: years I don't think you know what a strawman is
@DammeFavour: yes I absolutely do, I asked “who has Diana outskilled” and your answer was Thor fighting Hulk.
@thunderprince: yea I'm talking about the guy that was jumping around evading hulk's hits and pushing back with his legs to evade the car parts hulk wanted to kill him with. He wasn't using his royal marine skills in that instance just speed

I could say the same about every scene involving WW.
Diana has shown more "martial arts" type of skills. Thor is typically more of a brawler in my eyes, the type you see fighting outside of a night club who has been in a few fights before just with massive stats.
Has Thor ever shown skill on this level?
Yes, he has. In fact he managed to defeat three superhuman Asgardian warriors while unarmed, outnumbered and holding back severely. And he managed to remain untagged throughout the entire fight. Keep in mind, Asgardian warriors can foddersize Dark Elves in h2h combat.
@thunderprince: those gifs don't show that either Wonder Woman or Thor have skill above the other.

Why? Thor defeated multiple superhuman opponents despite multiple disadvantages and was not tagged once. Wonder Woman defeated a single less powerful opponent with no disadvantages and was tagged multiple times.
@thunderprince: beating people up that are barely showcasing any fighting skill while you're barely showcasing fighting skill isn't being "skilled in combat". In a real fight, a 3 v 1 means all those asgardians would stab thor all at once or jump on him. That's what actually happens when multiple people fight one person, they don't take turns to fight like movies do. They don't wait for thor to beat up their partner before they attack him.
@jashugan: You are arguing about choreography, I'm talking about what the Director was trying to convey. Using your argument the characters with the best choreography would be the most skilled.
Since we are arguing completely different points, it does not make sense to continue.
@thunderprince: the choreography is bad, but we're talking about movie characters here so the choreography matters a lot just like in a comic how the fight is drawn matters a lot. If the choreography is bad then their "skill" is bad. The director conveyed that Thor is a better fighter than mook asgardians by having mook asgardians fight like idiots and Thor fighting like an idiot.
Of course the characters with the best fight choreography would likely be the most "skilled" live action fighters. Those fighters from the raid movies are far better fighters than almost every superhero movie character.
Even Batman from just the warehouse fight scene puts his fight skill above nearly all live action comicbook characters because that fight was handled far better than the shitty Thor gif you posted and the other shitty Wonder Woman gif the other user posted. Same thing for Captain America being a better fighter than both Wonder Woman and Thor. Granted, this doesn't mean these characters would beat a Wonder Woman or Thor (they're severely lacking in physical stats) but they are clearly better fighters from those instances.
It's also why it's useless to say things like Bucky or Cap have beat characters that use guns when these characters that use guns are so stupid that they don't pull the trigger as quickly as real life humans would, or they keep aiming at captain america's big ass shield or bucky's hand.
I think we're arguing about the same thing, you're just using some rather poor evidence for it. Just saying "x character beat y characters and y characters are "skilled"" isn't a very good argument when you see the actual context behind the fight.
@jashugan: Wow, that was a well thought out and thought provoking post. So do you think that the director's intent has any baring on how skilled a character is?
On topic: Would not Thor still be more skilled since he fought more "mooks" than WW did without getting hit once?

I don't think Thor is more skilled, I believe he's even with Wonder Woman. They've both fought mooks without being hit. They're both the peak of their race, etc.
The director has shown that they're both better than everyone else from their race, but on closer analysis and having any bit of standards, you can tell a lot of their race really doesn't know how to fight and they just have flashy hollywood stuff.
The good thing about lower powered superheroes is that it kinda forces directors to go the route of having things like martial arts or making characters fight in a manner that would be more effective in real life. Only sometimes, you still have crap like black widow dancing around.
