Spiderman, not even close. People legit have him beating characters like DEU Superman on this site.

Hawkman hasn't really been wanked a ton from what I've seen, he legit has some fantastic feats. WAY better than I was expecting going into the movie. And in threads were he doesn't really have a reasonable chance, the response has been as such (thinking something like Hawkman vs Vibranium Ultron for example).

@johnnypowers: Hawkman has fought BA in the comics several times already and other heavy hitters. I was not at all surprised he held his own against BA in the movie. do your homework.

Spidey earned his feats… takes 40+ feats and a mountain of WOG to convince people he’s a lightning timer..he sees it in slo mo, he reacts to it in dozens of different ways etc.

Hawkman does it twice and gets the credit. (Which is fine but let’s not kid ourselves people lowball Spidey because his name is Spidey).

Spider-Man beating Faora has to be the most wanked thing I've ever heard.

People having no clue about lightning and electricity ended up making Spidey the most wanked character on the site for months.

While I understand wank, hype, and theory-crafting before, during, and slightly after a release will happen regardless.

When were either of them really wanked as long as you don't count the few usual dullards? These two characters are lowballed if anything, so they think anyone judging them fairly is "wanking".

Spider-Man for sure, scaling him to Thanos is ridiculous. Tho Hawkman is being wanked aswell, he isn't even beating Iron Man, and some people genuinely believe he can beat Hulk and Thor.

I've seen one Hawkman thread where he gets some wank.

But I see more Spider-Man downplay than anything. But scaling him to Thanos is another level of insane

Hawkman was super impressive for two reasons. It's not wank at all

First reason why he has the post movie hype he has is because he did stuff in the movie nobody thought he'd do. Nobody really thought Hawkman would be a legit high tier in the DCEU. His abilities were, impressive, his weapons, the actor who played him, all very remarkable. Second thing he legit gave a good fight to the strongest character in the DCEU for now. Sure he can't defeat Adam and he himself admitted that but that guy sure can take hits from a legit 100000+ toner and keep going. Everything about this character felt right. He is a good man, righteous but not annoyingly stubborn. At the end he was willing to work with Adam to defeat the greater evil

Agreed for the most part. Hawkman was a true standout of BA for me. Not THE true since Fate exists, but definitely enjoyed his character more than I thought I would.
