@takenstew22: The second scan looks so similar to Raimi's Green Goblin death scene . Is the context the same ?
Well in Raimi's Spider-Man there is no Gwen Stacy in the first Spider-Man film but I think Raimi copied the Green Goblin death scene from the comics Green Goblin death scene as you've seen above on the picture. The same thing happens in both the Raimi film and the comics scene i.e. The Green Goblin seems to be tricking Spider-Man into a false sense of security and tries to kill Spider-Man using his glider to hit him but Spider-Man's spider sense warns him of the impending danger so he dodges and the glider kills the Green Goblin instead...same thing in both the Raimi film and the image in the comics. In the 1st Raimi Spider-Man film, there is no Gwen but there is Mary Jane Watson instead and the Green Goblin holds a thing carrying lots of people inside on one hand and on the other hand he's holding Mary Jane Watson and then he drops both of them and asks Spider-Man which one he will save but Spider-Man saves both. This event builds up the anger in Raimi Spider-Man for the Green Goblin but in the comics it is Gwen Stacy's death that builds up the anger for the Green Goblin
Batman is power fantasy for kids? The guy has the most mentally disturbing rouges. His weapons are actually closer to what modern warfare technology is. The guy even uses chemical weapons to take down his rouge. Batman is a one man army. Seeing him using various gadgets/weapons to take down his rouge is like seeing real-life soldiers fighting against their enemies (guns, flash bang, smoke grenades, calling for air support, using surveillance system etc...). If Batman existed in Spidey world, he wouldn't let the likes of Vulture & Green Goblin flying in the sky due to drone technology. Batman is a street crime fighter but if the situation requires him to be a one man army, he will be one. The reason why he doesn't call Batwing or Batmobile in to take out his rouges is because he doesn't want to kill them. To me, Batman wins due to psychological realism and having more realistic weaponary & warfare fighting tactics and him being this badass one man army. Spidey is more likable though and arguably a more humane character than Bats. Batman has all these wealth and warfare technology but chooses to be a crime fighter, which in someways makes him more of an insane person and understandably so because he was twisted by the trauma of losing his parents to a criminal. Batman is not a sane crime fighter like Spidey. At his heart, Batman is a child in pain and the pain of losing his parents was so great that it motivated him to become a crimefighter and a protector of all parents of other children instead of just going after the few criminals that were responsible for his parents' death. So yeah Spidey is a more ideal hero than Bats.
I don't like either of them that much but Batman. I think his story is more compelling, that his philosophy is more interesting and his character has more depth. He's also cooler and has a less goofy design imo, but in that regard it's more just a shinier turd (bat costume vs spider costume).
I also like his theme.
Batman STOMPS.
Spider-Man is a boring children's character in comparison.
Spiderman! He's relatable and just an awesome guy. I like batman too though.

Beyond preference, Batman is better.
Batman has more dived into his villains and his 'family.' This allows elements of Batman to be more commonly fleshed out.
Batman is also in 99% of DC events, giving him so much more involvement compared to Spider-Man. Batman is also always a big character in those due to him being the lead brain among a team of brawn, while Spider-Man is [commonly] more outclassed and overshadowed during larger events.
Spider-Man does well by being massively more relatable than most comic-book character: especially Batman.
Batman's greater involvement gives him more diverse ways to be [better] involved in stories. This gives us more Batman in more unique ways. This tend to dive us further into knowing Batman, and developing the world around him.
If you consider preference, than it's honestly all about taste.
Batman is all-capable and is an icon for his non-powered human-stature as a hero. While Spider-Man is by character, is a relatable underdog who actually feels like a person.
Ironically, the one who has no-powers is massively less humanistic, compared to the one with powers.
I prefer Batman.
Batman, mostly due to the Arkham games and the Dark Knight Trilogy, I used to like Spider-Man more as a kid but now I prefer Bats.
Batman. He’s my second favorite superhero.
