@granitesoldier: Scooby isn't a sidekick. It's his franchise....
Who Are the Most Iconic Sidekicks in History?
@idontlikebirds: Agreed...
Dr. Watson to Sherlock Holmes, Tonto to the Lone Ranger, Igor to Dr. Frankenstein, Cornfed to Duckman.
Robin, FTW
I'm thinking this list started from a modern point of view and worked backward; rather than starting from "the dawn of time" and coming forward. More people in recent memory recognize Donkey and Shrek rather than Captain America and Bucky. This is also made for a very wide audience for television shows, movies and video games, not just comics. If it were a comic book list, Bucky would be right there with Robin, and maybe Scooby Doo, too. I thought Wilson was from Cast Away, not Chuck...I guess I missed a few episodes...
Oh not Infographic again, the same guys that said Wolverine's claws can be broken by other adamantium just by going from that damn movie and not reading a comic, dont listen to these people.
"Most iconic sidekicks" is kinda subjective, I don't see the connection between that and going by movies instead of comics. If anything, it would make it more accurate considering that they talk about "iconic" in the eyes of the general public.
Robin for most iconic, although I couldn't care less for the character. An argument could be made for Spock and Watson.
Obelix for favorite by far.
Pff ash is pikachu side kick
lmao
Scooby Doo isn't on this list? Heresy!
Also some of these I think are partners, not sidekicks. J was not a sidekick, neither was Buzz Lightyear.
Can you really be a sidekick if your name is the name of the show though?
