Poll Which villain has the cooler voice: MCU Thanos or Snyder Cut Darkseid? (93 votes)
I'm not calling the latter DCEU Darkseid because even Zack Snyder doesn't think his cut of the movie will be part of the DCEU canon.

Definitely going with Darkseid, Thanos's voice is a little bit humanised, Darkseid ACTUALLY sounds like a terrifying force of evil we can't begin to understand.
@buildhare: It's not purely about the voice being deep, for me it's also about just how inhuman the voice sounds and yeah, deepness helps helps. Darkseid is supposed to be a horrifying being of malevolence beyond all terrors that earth has experienced, humanising his voice lessens the terror he imposes.

By that logic you might as well give Karathen the nod over Thanos too, being incomprehensible isn't all there is.
@buildhare: I do put Karathen over Thanos too, but mostly because of her association with deep water. Being incomprehensible is the key to scaring me off for sure, but as soon as I know their origin, how they grew up, how they think, how much I can relate to them in some way... then they'd start to scare me less, which would really suck.

Honestly MCU Thanos's whole design is humanized that could match Brolin.
@vishop_: Well true, thankfully Ray Porter isn't a big name. I don't like it when the actor is more well known than the comic book character, his name would overshadow his character's name.
Thanos feels more human, I like it better than some generic cartoon bad guy voice

zzzzz Thanos is suppose to be a celestial-type nihilistic character with red eyes who is not humanly. That makes it more accurate with respect to comics. But instead he is just a purple colored old man who cosplayed Thanos with an armor lol
Darkseid has a more evil voice which is precisely what the movie is going for
Thanos has a calm, cool, collected voice that would trick you into thinking "This 8ft tall alien might not be that bad" right before he wipes out half your race, that too is what the movie wanted
I like Thanos' voice better
Don't know if i would call either of their voices cool though
Thanos is humanized as he wasn't portrayed to be a generic evil bad guy or even that evil at all just a powerful guy with a messed up belief system/mindset which is pretty typical for humans
Darkseid has a cooler voice I doubt he is in the movie much so we'll aee6

So Thanos is generic evil guy in comics? I see....
Thanos, BY FAR. Darkseid sounds almost cartoonishly generic for a big scary villain.
This lol, Darkseid sounds to much like steppenwolf to imo
Thanos as it sounds more like a character than generic boss monster.
It's a similar issue I have with the Darkseid voice they used in JL War. It sounds like it could belong to any monster and not someone surprisingly sophisticated and well spoken as Darkseid.
That being said that probably is what Zsck was going for and while generic it's not a bad voice
Thanos as it sounds more like a character than generic boss monster.
So more human then? When you look at DCAU Darkseid, he does sound like Snyder Cut Darkseid. And yet he was actually pretty good character. Not some generic monster.

Who is also the number 1 Simp in comics and would have been laughing stock if adopted like that
@vishop_: The Pitch is lowered which defiantly takes away from his natural voice which I was referring to. And while that edited version is better it doesn't sound much of what I hear from Snyder's version whose voice doesn't sound distinctive to me personally especially next to ironside.
Though I'm willing to agree the voice works better for the heavy leaning war lord Snyder seems to be going for.

When you look at cutscene dialogs from Snyder Cut trailers, the pitch of the voice actually suits the dialog. But I guess we have to wait and see about it.
Better voice? Darkseid. Unbiased opinion on which villian is better? Thanos. MY opinion on which villain is better? Darkseid.
Darkseid is the only reason I'm watching this movie.
For Darkseid!!

Thanos voice is better because Brolin's actual voice is amazing.
Darkseid's voice is too cheesy. Ironside is someone with a GREAT Darkseid voice. Sounds human but also sounds robotic as well as.

Thanos by far. DCAU's Justice League War's Darkseid has better voice than DCEU Darkseid
@vinervvvvv: I can't believe people are toxic over 2hich voice is better!
Anyway, Darkseid's voice fits his character as the god of tyranny. Thanos? Nothing remarkable.
I don't think bad guys need deep voices. Cool and chill voices are still way better IMO
And Darksied didn't even have a good line...
Thanos had so many good lines " Perfectly Balanced as all things should be " etc..
@vinervvvvv: Cool and chill voices don't fit a titan or a god of tyranny.
"Thanos had so many cool lines" meh. Not impressed by anything he said. And I'm not biased here really. His lines are just mediocre.
You don't need a deep scary voice to make an awesome villain.
I guess that's your style/what you like.
For me I like cool chilling villains.
" Perfectly balanced as all things should be" or " "Dread it run from it destiny still arrives all the same" Thanos has so many cool quotes..
Does Darksied even have good quotes?

When did I say "being pure evil" makes Darkseid a better villain?
