I have some trouble trying to understand the different franchises' timelines, so help me out here; which universe (by number of timelines) has the most continuities and which ones have the least? Note the below are not in order.

Star Wars

Marvel

DC

Transformers

AvP

Terminator

I'd appreciate it if someone would rank them from the least canonical continuities to the most, and numbers to indicate how many universes/timelines each has would be better!

I'm not 100% sure, but isn't canon SW a single continuity?

@tg_15: @rukelnikovftw:

Star Wars has.

Legends Continuity= The previous Canon before Disney bought it.

Disney Canon= The Current Canon.

Infinities Canon= Non-Canon. Generally these are things like the Star Wars Infinities series, Dark side endings in games, Lego games etc, etc and so on.

@rukelnikovftw: It has 3 technically. Or if you take out Infinities, it has 2.

But Legends ain't canon anymore... nvm, I guess I misunderstood the OP

Btw I never knew about the "Infinities" but is that where things like SWToR, and other games fell?

@rukelnikovftw: Legends isn't Current Canon right, but it's still a continuity.

Also no, SWTOR is apart of Legends.

The Infinities are like the lego games, the movie Infinities comics, the darkside endings to games like TFU 1/2, Kotor 1/2, those sorts of things.

Oh, so KoToR was canon previous to the Revan novels? I thought he was made canon then and not in the game itself. What about JK games? I know Katarn was legends canon, but were the events of the games canon too?

@rukelnikovftw: Yes, the Kotor games are Legends canon, specifically the lightside. The JK games and the events in them(minus the darkside endings) are Legends canon too.

Godzilla continuity is FUBAR. Like each movie with only a few exceptions is like a sequel to the original.

@rl4: Do Marvel and DC have dozens of canonical continuities? I heard many of them are small or defunct.

@wolfrazer:Strangely, Lego characters are canon.

Yeah, and multiply that by the 25+ godzilla films and it's just a mess
