Which universe is better crafted: Halo or Mass Effect?

Andromeda hurts ME, but they’re both very well crafted universes.

Both of them are awesome in terms of lore. I prefer Halo more personally but ME really did a good job fleshing out the different alien species, technology, etc.

They both share a lot of similar stuff tbh. However, I'd choose classic halo over classic ME and Andromeda over the newest garbage from halo.

Both are some of the most well crafted modern sci fi universes. Mass effect is the more Tolkienesque with a fantasy spin and all sorts of indicate little details. Halo is more of a classic sci fi space opera.

They're both fantastic but halo holds a special place in my heart. Also, bonus points that they managed to do all this in a damn fps.

If you count the books, both are equally well crafted. If you only count the games, ME is better fleshed out.

I am looking forward to playing Reach on the PC soon. It’s been quite a while.

Halo lore prior to Reach was pretty golden. Mass Effect is really cheesy and silly in my opinion. I prefer the more grounded world of Halo. That being said, Reach unnecessarily retconned a bunch of stuff and made the world a lot more inconsistent, then 343 pretty much butchered the lore so who knows at this point.
