Which significant character's death in Avengers: Infinity War was the saddest?

Can't say I found any of them actually sad although Gamora's was definitely the most emotional one. Peter's felt like it was dragging on, especially considering how fast everyone else turned into dust. Vision's was like Thanos was trolling him lol

Groot. When I found out from a Russo interview that he was basically calling Rocket "dad" as he was dusted, that made his death the saddest.

I hated how they tried to MAKE me feel sad about Peter dying, like I get it he's a major character but don't try to manipulate me into feeling more sad for him then everyone else.

Honestly no individual death really got me, it was more of a package deal of sadness, but when T'Challa and Peter kicked the bucket, it sorta became a "return to sender" situation, since they confirmed this wouldn't last.

Was my favorite character.

I saw Gamora's death coming as soon as they reached the top, wasn't sad at all. Spidey's was.

Spiderman, Tom and Robert both sold it incredibly well.

As it was happening, Spider-Man. But we know he'll be back and "I don't feel so good" has been memed to death.

Upon reflection, Gamora.

Honestly? No one.

Loki already died several times. I simply don't buy that he is dead for real.

Gamora should have killed herself. Relying on Star-Lord to kill her was stupid; she should have known her boyfriend better.

Vision? I don't care much about him, whether he is alive or dead. I guess I can't forget that Wanda's inability to have Vision's children in the comics led to her mental breakdown and the ugly mess that was House of M and Decimation of Mutants.

Spider-Man? They tried too hard to make us sorry for him.

I think the only character I felt sorry about is Baby Groot.

Loki or Gamora as it's not so obivous that they'll just be coming back straight away (although I think Gamora is confirmed for GOTG Vol.3)

I guess Gamora or maybe Loki for how shocking it was. None of the deaths really made me feel that sad though.

All deaths are funny because of being shitty movie deserving to rubbish

@magian: @yassassin: it’s because he’s just a kid in a huge battle and he didn’t want to die. They were showing you how he is still young and in way over his head. And his Spider sense told him he was about to die and he could do nothing about it so I think he got it the worst.

With that said Gamora was the most sad the music was so good and seeing Thanos show those emotions was great.

First her parents died

Then she was experimented on

After that her brother died

Then she blew up a building full of innocent people

After that she was put in prison

Then she had to kill her love(vision)

After that vision was brought back and then killed again which she had to watch.

Lastly she was killed

Easily the saddest death when you focus on the bigger picture.

You realize Peter reacted a lot more than everyone else because of his Spidey-sense, right? He could detect it was coming before it actually came. He’s also a kid. In that case, it makes perfect sense why Peter had the longest and most emotional death.

@magian: it took a while for Peters to die because he knew it was coming since the beginning with his spider-sense, so he had been preparing for it

Even though this question is subjective, I think that most people would agree (including myself) that the death of Spider-Man was the saddest. At the end of the day, he was just a scared kid who didn't want to die. And they way that he was crying and begging for help was truly heartbreaking.

Loki's death is the only one that made me feel anything other than indifference. I don't really care for Gamora, and she basically died helping Thanos get the soul stone anyways. The rest, the snap deaths, felt like they were purposefully manufactured to make the audience sad which just cheapens them beyond the fact that we already know they're coming back. This goes double for "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good". Made me roll my eyes on my re-watch.

Oh, actually I was disappointed Fury and Hill died. They haven't been around in a while, and I was hoping they'd get more screen time in Avengers 4.

They didn't acrually try to make Spiderman's death look sad. They said that Tom Holland improvised for the most part and they took it in.

As for Loki's death, it was the most shocking to watch, or at least the most brutal by far, seeing someone like Thanos suffocate someone 10 times smaller than him with his bare hands was scary, but it wasn't actually particularly sad IMO.

Olsen did an amazing job portraying Wanda throughout the entire scene of Vision's death, but again, it was more shocking than sad.

He’s the one that die in less pain,the other three are die in a painful way.

Never ever ever cared about Loki. As much as I enjoy the Guardians movies,the whole team could die and it wouldn't bother me.
