When I was younger I enjoyed Fallout, but I've been leaning towards Elder Scrolls due to the lore and fantasy elements. Also, I adore the ES games more than Fallout. Tbh I enjoy both with a slight advantage towards Elder Scrolls.

Elder Scrolls, no question. Better mods and more of them. I took a break for about a year and a half, but this past weekend I started installing and rebuilding Skyrim Special Edition on my PC. I am having issues, of course, because that’s Skyrim but if I can make it work, it’s a thing of beauty.

I think I like Fallout's gameplay and storytelling when it's at its best, but I usually gravitate towards fantasy stories much more.

Beyond the games, I haven't dug much deeper, lol. In my answer to this thread, I'm mainly referring to the story/writing in terms of quest structure and overall game experience and things like that. Most Fallout games have been a little disappointing in that regard, but at it's best, I think they nail things quite well, while some TES games have a mediocre experience a lot of the time. Skyrim is always good with mods, though.

TES Lore writing and world building is absolutely unmatched by ANY Game , tho going deep into TES lore can be difficult due to not knowing where to start , starting at the 36 Sermons of Vivec is a guaranteed pathway to Insanity , something easier would be knowingabout a chatacter you have already seen rather then the meta deeplore for example
