The 'toad' line supposedly had some buildup. IE Toad commenting on 'You know what happens when a toad (whatever)' repeatedly through the movie that got cut. So that's definitely an editing issue (and maybe should have had a reshoot.)
The Toad line is just cringe-worthy even if there was cut dialogue that would have made it a call-back as someone said.
Kal-El No is idiotic because there's no reasonable explanation for her to instinctively call him that. The slow-mo is horrendous but that's on top of the problem of it being out of the blue.
Because Gal Gadot's delivery is terrible. Nobody cares if something is campy if it's executed well. The Rami Spider-Man films prove this
I've seen worse, though her thick accent and camera angle in here make a pretty sound combo, I can agree with that it isn't a good shot at all. Still to me yet another overblown meme from the vine's bunch.
