Which movie series is better: The Avengers 1-4 or Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy?

Avengers and it’s not even close.

Any one the four Avengers films solos.

Spider-Man 2 solos even if its a bit overrated. its well written , good special effect and good soundtrack/villain. if the pacing and MJ plot device kidnap was removed it would be a instant classic

Spider-Man 2 is better than any MCU film

If Spider-Man 3 was a bit stronger I would've given it to Raimi.

Probably no one would agree with this but IMO any Avengers movie solos all of these Spider-Men combined.

I'm not sure how you expect me to take your seriously when you think the Harry finale scene is better than Thanos.

@devilmenworks: it was great because its sequel load up and after the 2nd we thought harry and sandman would do a great movie. also thanos is overrated and his plan make no sense, doc-ock is history.

Thanos isn't overrated, he is a great villain. And his plan makes a lot of sense. The Russos, however did a bad job of fully carrying it out. Thanos is mentally and physically strong, and has memorable quotes. He did difficult decisions, and lost some things as well. He is also the leader of one of the most powerful armies in the universe and he is generally fear because of it.

If anything, Doc Oct is the one with a bad plan by trying to make a mini sun. Additionally, he should have been one shotted by either the police or Spider-man because he is a normal human, with metallic arms.

Spider-Man. It's not close.

Spider-Man is a solid, great film that still holds up to this day. Spider-Man 2 is up there with TDK as the greatest CBM's of all time. Spider-Man 3 is the greatest campy/bad CBM of all time.

Avengers aged like fine milk. Avengers 2 is forgettable. IW is still good. Endgame was a blue balling cop out. Literally resorted to the time-travel trope because they wrote themselves in a corner. And if you argue they planned it from the beginning, it's even worse since they had all that time yet still messed it up. Also, probably the most egregious sin of Endgame -- it's the least epic Avengers film out of the 4.

Raimi's Spiderman. I don't think it's particularly close.

Raimi of course. People think Spider-Man 3 drags the trilogy down but it has more heart than Avengers 2. People are letting the Endgame hype takeover, most of the first three Avengers films were popcorn flicks. Especially 1 and 2.

Endgame and Infinity War are better films overall even as much as I love the first two Raimi films

Overall Avengers. Avengers has 1 great movie, 2 good movies and 1 mediocre (at best) movie. Spider-Man has 1 great movie, 1 good movie and one of the worst CBM’s of all time. Looking at the math, MCU Avengers comes out ahead.
