Which movie did you like more: Into the Spider-Verse or Shazam

haven't seen shazam but i won't be surprised if it's better. Spider-verse is such a piece of garbage shit that i'm baffled it gets so much positive review, even the reviewers i watch recommend it and now i won't fucking trust their recommendation anymore.

Spider-Verse, personally.

Not only is Spider-Man my favorite superhero and the movie was a lot closer to what I like about Peter Parker than any other Spider-Man movie, but just the scope of the two movies was different. Shazam wasn't trying to be anything that big or grand and that's fine. I'm never going punish a movie for not being something it's not, especially when it still does a good job at what it's trying to be, which Shazam did (I've made the comparison before but it's like dumping on Ant-Man and the Wasp for not being Black Panther or Infinity War). But I'm more naturally drawn towards movies like Spider-Verse, which did feel bigger and more important, but still with a lot of heart to it. It's the same reason I like Aquaman more than Shazam.

Shazam was still good. Spider-Verse was just better.

both were wicked good at presenting fantastical zany ideas and worlds that fflowed harmoniously with the human relationship aspects of the films.

Shazam was amazing. Spider-Verse was a good movie, but I never thought it was as great as most others claimed it was. The animation was spectacular, but the story and characters left a lot to be desired IMO.

I just bought Spider-Verse on 4K so I'm interested in seeing how I feel about it upon rewatch.

Spider verse was amazing, a great movie. Shazam sucked for me, tbh.

Spiderverse was my personal favorite from last year, and Shazam was a fun movie, but Spiderverse was more than that. It has lots of memorable scene, visually wonderful even with annoying frame rate at times, great story arc, great side characters and just absolutely love it. Shazam was well a fun coming of age story that did not focus as much on the foster family as I would have like, a meh villain,and unmemorable and sometime mediocre fights. So spiderverse for me easily.

Spider-Verse, no contest. The best Spider-Man movie of all time and one of the best animated films of all time.

Shazam was a cool and fun movie but it can't compare.

OT: i like both but I think Spider-verse tugs at the heart strings more and visually it is more appealing.

No he didn’t he went back to his Universe. The other Spider-Man was killed in Miles Universe

While I think ItSv is pretty overrated, it was still a nice cartoon parts of which I could appreciate from purely aesthetic standpoint even. Shazam is just an example of lazy superhero oversaturation.

I did say Spider verse is a competent movie, it's better than new Star Wars trilogy & Captain Marvel.

Miles is such a lame hero. Into the Spider-Verse had potential, but it turned out to be a nothing of excitement. Some of the Spider-Men they picked were also pretty bad choices. Shazam was just baseline mediocre with some dumb but funny jokes.

that was mostly exaggerated but overall the movie is more bland than shazam, the story especially, it's just spider-man but a black person is playing spider-man with the dash of unnecessary multi verse mix in the movie.
