Which is the best written major antagonist in MCU's Captain America trilogy? (UPDATED)

@germanx: If were comparing Tony and Bucky, Tony is still the better character, but Barnes is better than any other villain in the Movies too.

Stark lol. Bucky wasn't an antagonist, there was no clash of ideas, philosophy or moral code. He was just a really brain washed badass and that's it. He ain't antagonist.

I question what some of you think good writing is if you think a mindless, emotionless, no motivation antagonist is the best written antagonist in a film series.

OT: If we're considering Stark an antagonist then him. But imo he isn't so the next obvious answer would be Zemo who was fantastic.

Zemo, Pierce could of take it if he had little more screen time.

@whyzoserious: antagonism can be in any form including physical and/or ideals. Bucky is the main antagonist physically acting out the ideals for the big bad Pierce who represents the idealism that antagonizes Steve.

It's a tossup between Pierce and Zemo

Yes, but the physical bad, evil antagonist is a cliche in the comic book movies, while a clash of political ideas, institutionalization and the conundrum they were facing in CW was something rare and quality and that's why people appreciated it. Even here, where the Winter Soldier is among the most beloved movies you see CW winning.

Yeah Bucky didn't have writing as a villain and Pierce was pretty generic. It's either Zemo or Tony Stark, who were both quite good antagonists. I'll vote for Tony Stark since he was an antagonist for Cap and Zemo didn't really even meet him.
