trio. Frodo didn't really care about Sam that much. It's also way more difficult to be friends with a girl and a boy when they are dating each other, so gotta give them the credit.
Sam was a better friend to Frodo than Frdo was to him. The trio were all better friends to each other than Frodo was to Sam.
The trio all had their friendship tested in different but equally effective ways and came out stronger:
- Book 1: Harry passed the ‘Not being a superficial d***’ test by accepting Ron as his friend despite being wealthy enough to buy him as a personal slave
- They both pass the ‘Not being racist’ test by having a Muggleborn Hermione join their group
- Because they’re 11 year old kids and therefore not mature- Ron teases H for being a ‘Know it all’ but her worth and their co-operation makes their friendship stronger after they beat the troll
Book 2-
- Test of friendship once again w/Dobby and the letters- Harry has a cathartic release when he sees his friends have been writing him
- Test of ‘not being a racist d***’ again when a snake that only targets Hermione’s kind starts wrecking folks but they still stick by her
- Harry learns the derogatory term for ‘Muggle-Born’ is ‘Mudblood’ but he’s such an empathic person that this doesn’t faze him and Ron- being from the wizarding world knows this term and defends Hermione against Draco
- Test of friendship against Harry- learning he could be descended from Slytherin
Book 3
- Hermione and Ron’s test of friendship against Harry: their BF apparently has a god-father supporter of the most malevolent wizard in history and said God-father apparently wants to kill Harry
- They could get targeted by affiliation but they don’t care because they love Harry so much
Blah blah
Book 4
- Test of friendship against love- they’re 14 so Ron’s boner thinks for him and he gets pressed because a hot, exotic best player in the world fancies Hermione- Ron suffers from immense tall poppy syndrome because next to Krum...he’s a poor ginger who lives on a farm
- Harry’s test is keeping the peace- “Well you can tell Ron-“ I’m not an owl!”
H hugs him
- Ron doesn’t believe Harry didn’t put his name in the cup- cuz jealousy of Harry + tall poppy syndrome of Krum= Mad ginger
- doesn’t matter because by the end they’re all friends again
Book 5
- Familial friendship test- Harry wants to bang Ginny, also Hermione tells Harry he has a ‘Saving people, thing’ when he tells her he has to find Sirius to stop him from getting tortured by No Nose
Blah blah blah
Book 6
- Absence of friend test + familial test- Harry is going out with Ginny and Ron needs to accept that- Harry is gone with Albus so his friends have to trust him but can’t + HBP book- Hermione gets jealous when Harry beats her in potions using some weird book and she tries to get it confiscated because:
1. She’s jelly
2. It might contain dark magic
Blah blah blah
7. Ron’s jealousy towards Harry gets amplified by the Locket so he dips, Harry and Hermione dance because they need to fill the loss of love from the absence of a friend with the love of each other’s company in a platonic way
- Ron comes back and the Locket Mind Fs him by showing an apparition of Hermione and Harry basically having sex but he gets over it and destroys the Locket
Blah blah blah
Ron and Hermione get married and it was foreshadowed that would happen because in Book 6 she smelled Ron’s garden when Slughorn was prepping love potion
Harry- half/half
Ron- One whole of one end
Hermione - One whole of another end
H + H don’t have a clue what Ron is talking about when he talks about the wizarding world
R doesn’t have a clue what those two are going on about with their ‘Dentists’ so they inform the other to lessen ignorance.
I could go on but I don’t have to.
Sam literally carried Frodo on his back up an entire mountain... ON HIS BACK!
don't you ever insult Sam and Frodo like this ever again
