Which film are you looking forward to more: The Batman or Dune?

Dune, because it's coming out this year.

In my heart of hearts, I think Dune will be the better film, it's Denis Villeneuve!

Dune and it's not close by any means.

@vishop_: Even though I believe Batman will be a fine film, it will still be another superhero film, Dune will be something really fresh.

@ghostodoofus2: The thing is Batman has already been adapted at the starting level multiple times, therefore, I doubt they are gonna dig that again. I think it would have been good if Matt Reaves picked up those pieces of BvS and write a prequel film of BvS in his own way. THAT would have been solid IMO but I don't have high hopes either.

Dune is going to be a good decent film at the very least. I highly doubt Denis is going down after such solid BR2049.

@vishop_: Dune might just be Villeneuve's masterpiece, it will be his biggest work by far.

Had never heard of 'Dune' before this thread.

If it wasn't for Villeneuve, I would be much more interested in The Batman. But Villeneuve... I'll see anything that man makes.

I am hyped for Dune though, the spice wars, glowing blue eyes... I'm wondering how the director will approach, and tackle the fighting styles. I'm sure it's going to magnificently weird (judging by the casting) but totally epic.

You definitely should when you get the chance. The original Dune series by Frank Herbert is one of the most philosophical and thought provoking pieces of literature in the last century.

@killbilly: I'm excited for Batman too but it could be another superhero film, Dune will be something we've never seen before.

I may see pirated version of both just because of directors. Not a fan of the source materials and the casts.
