Superman by far. When Thor showed up it was epic because he turned things around, when Superman showed I just rolled my eyes, he didn't give the Justice League an advantage (like Thor did for the Avengers), he effortlessly decimated the main villain.

Thor defeated mooks. Superman stomped the main villain like he was nothing and cracked jokes about it while saving civilians and destroying his doomsday machine.

Thor overpowered The full power od the Infinity Gauntlet and critcially injured Thanos lol.

Yeah Thor only took out mooks, but he was casually ripping through those skyscraper sized outrider drop pods.

@theycallmebt: But he didn't actually achieve his goal. He could have, but he didn't. Superman did, effortlessly.

And he didn't overpower the Infinity Gauntler, anymore than me stabbing a guy with a gun from behind means I overpowered a gun.

Clark went there and casually stopped the whole thing while cracking jokes. The answer is obvious.

Thor might have this . Clark was very fast and it was OP how he casually curbstomped Steppenwolf. But Thor seemed to curbstomp a large portion of the entire army of Outriders. He destroyed their ships. And than he nearly one shotted Thanos. Both where OP but Thor did more impressive things.

This is interesting. One factor is unexpctedness. We all knew that when our Lord Supes showed up, he would own Steppenwolf. However, NO ONE expected Thor to get new insane feats like surviving a full blast of energy from a neutron star, the ring feat or Strom Breaker to beat Thanos with his IG. In terms of impressive things Supes may win this, but it was expected. No friggin way someone expected this kind of amp for Thor and how good he did against Thanos. So Odinson gets my vote.

Thor, I guess. Superman overpowered henchman of DCEU' Big Bad, while Thor brought Marvel' Big Bag on his knees.

Indeed, countering the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet is far more impressive.

Superman stopped Steppenwolf by himself and made his team look like punks while he was at it, Thor failed to stop Thanos. The question isn't who was more powerful its who was op, Thor was powerful but not even close to op.

Scaling by what they did to the main Villain, definety Superman

Steppenwolf wasn't even a challenge for Superman. He treated him like a ragdoll. Although doing that negated the necessary gravitas of the story, the viewers realised how powerful he is. He could've single handedly ended the whole invasion. Once he returned, it was endgame for Steppenwolf.

Thanos on the other hand was owning the entire Avengers, Space Team, Wakanda soldiers etc. If someone's OP in the movie, it's him. Thor arrived and he almost defeated Thanos which is impressive but I don't necessarily agree that Stormbreaker bypassed full power of all the six Infinity Stones since Thanos seemed to have used full power only once while erasing half of the universe which basically destroyed the gauntlet. At other times, he didn't seem to use even a fraction of the stone's powers since power stone at full power alone would've decimated everyone but most of them on Titan survived blasts from 3 stones unscathed.

They were both hella OP, but superman was moreso. He steamrolled Steppenwolf who was too much for the league combined. If I were to say Thor, he would've had to have killed Thanos, and prevented the snap. He didn't/couldn't.

Superman didn't kill Steppenwolf either, just like Thor didn't kill Thanos

Neither one killed their villains, but Thor's villain was much more powerful than Supes villain and he did more damage in two attacks that Superman did with TEN

Supes didn't leave a bruise or scratch on Steppenwolf btw.

For the Last Freaking Time: Thor IS NOT OP. Do you people understand what that term means?

It means a Single Character Is So Powerful He Makes Everyone Else Around him irrelevant. That is true of JL Superman. Why does he need a League when he can solo the problem himself?

@mickey-mouse: Thor did what all of two teams and an army failed to do take down Thanos, who recovered only due to A stone, steppenwolf is weak sauce in comparison and thusly not nearly as Impressive. They nerfed JLA to make Clark look better, his upgrade was frost breath, Thor just got more OP period

Thor was unbelievably overpowered in this movie. He went from maybe building busting with the idea of him city busting being a meme. All the sudden he's withstanding supernova and overpowering the entire Infinity Gauntlet by himself.

@destinyman75: how was the JL nerfed? Flash was a newb, cyborg was still upgrading even at the end of the move, Aquaman didn't have his actual Trident, there was no green lantern, etc.

@the_hajduk: He also now has one of the best strength feats in all of CBMs by opening the Star gate of a planetary forge

The forge itself is those giant rings around the star and there purpose is to open the star gate. However the forge wasn't functionally so Thor had to use pure brute strength to do the entire forge/planet's job....by himself.

People only look at this as a durability feat, no it is also a tremendous Superman caliber strength feat.

Not counting Thor throwing Rocket's spacepod with enough force to send it flying for MILES which helped it's thruster at full power get enough momentum to pull one of those forge/planet rings all the while resisting enough force to pull the forge/planet ring as the anchor which held the ship and the forge together

True. Those rings were all building equivalent, and I think there were three. Then again, I have no idea how space would impact all of this.

@the_hajduk: Being in space would actually make the feat more impressive in two different ways

Technically being a planet, Nidavellir should have a gravitational pull which makes it heavier to pull.

However even without a gravitation pull, it still makes Thor resisting Rocket's spacepod thrusters even more impressive since he held his feet on the ground without gravity. So the feat is bananas no matter how you slice it or look at it.

This. Steppenwolf was never presented to be some unstoppable force or even a treat to Superman, as the Heroes who were holding off Steppenwolf is the same ones Clark stomped with little effort. Everyone expected Superman to beat Steppenwolf, maybe not stomp him where as almost no one expect Thor to become so "OP".
