Poll Which character type do you like more: the well-spoken type or the strong, silent type? (14 votes)

Well-spoken type 36%
Strong, silent type 64%

Most comic book superheroes fit the former type, Superman being a prime example as he is very well-spoken and has said many inspiring quotes.

One example for the latter type I can think of is John Wick, Wick speaks noticeably a lot less than the supporting characters of his movies, he never speaks more than he needs to. Less talk more action, they let action define their character more than words; these types of characters can be great examples of how actions speak louder than words.

I like both types but I think the strong, silent types are more badass.

After watching Medici season 2 on Netflix (really recommend it btw), I'm definitely digging the well-spoken types more atm. Lorenzo is so goddamn charismatic and savvy, it's difficult not to prefer the well-spoken type after witnessing his wit for a whole season.

People really need to think beyond comic book related characters for these types of questions.

Silent type, preferably played by Ryan Gosling.

Strong, silent type is very overdone and misused. It's the better of the two when done right, I suppose.

Well spoken characters are inherently more interesting, though.

I prefer the wolverine , Hulk , Scorpion , Vegeta type of guys. They'll say just enough to get the point across and may even take on a mentorship role but ultimately don't say too many words
