In which animes do you prefer the Dub over the Sub?
Dragon Ball Z , Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin are the anime that stand out to me for having much better English cast then Japanese.
What about you?
@the_hajduk: death note is a masterpiece lmao
DBZ is like the only anime I watched so far that I consistently prefer dub over sub.
@wushu59 Is YYH a good anime? I like it's artstyle. Will I enjoy it if I like anime such as DBZ?

Yes! It's in my Top 3 favorite anime of all time.
The 1st Arc - Spirit Detective Arc is good relatable to real life arc
The 2nd Arc - Dark Tournament is what many people consider to be the greatest anime tournament arc of all time and when show starts becoming similar to DBZ
The 3rd Arc - Chapter Black is when show gets really dark and has one of the greatest anime villains of time imo
The 4th Arc - Three Kings Arc was enjoyable short tournament arc while it lasted... Togashi unfortunately ended series abruptly here. Believe the main cast became too strong and he didn't know how to write relatable stories around them anmore
You'll recognize a lot of the voice actors too
The guy who does Yusuke's voice did Raditz voice
Hiei is Android 17 voice
Kuwabara is Vegeta / Piccolo's voice. (although different)
Genkai is Freiza's original voice
Botan is Chichi's voice
It's fun series that is only like 100 and something episodes long
This might be sacrilege but Death Note for me.
I think both were solid
My Hero Academia is infinitely better dubbed, Twice, All Might, Bakugo, and Eraserhead are all perfect.
Essentially all of them. Very rarely do I give a show my undivided attention, so I prefer to not have to read it, if an anime has a dub, that's the one I'm watching.
@divyansh13: dude mha dub is bad
@hentekorin: I like it's dub
@takenstew22: Both YYH and HxH are must watch imo. Btw, have you finished Nardo yet?

I finished part 1 and just started with Shippuden.
@takenstew22: What are your thoughts and rating for part 1?

It's nice. The backstories are kind of annoying and too frequent, but otherwise it's a solid 7/10 for me.
@takenstew22: Cool, first two arcs of Shippuden are pretty slow but after that series peaks. Also try to avoid fillers to not go insane, they are even more annoying than in part 1.

I tend to watch an anime through the end filler and all, so I don't think I could skip them just by instinct alone. :/
I heard Shippuden is more action packed so I most likely will enjoy it more though.

this tbh

This without the ”essentially”.
Dragonball Part 1 n Z
Naruto Part 1
But I prefer Naruto Shippuden n Boruto in Subs
Baki the grappler i prefer in English dub
Dub for one very simple reason: having to read subtitles distracts me from just purely enjoying all the animation happening on the screen.
Plus, with subs you absolutely cannot take your eyes off the screen when characters are talking, which can be annoying if you do want to multitask.

You must have never tried to watched JoJo's Part 1 and 2 in English then...
.-.
Naruto, Dragon ball, Attack on titan, Hunter hunter, Black clover, Rising of the shield here, and a lot more.
Of those I’ve watched: Hellsing, DBZ (obviously, haven’t met anyone who likes high pitched Goku more), Naruto is about equal, Monster the same, Beyblade and Attack on Titan.
@wushu59: I have not, lol.
I nearly always prefer subs over dubs. I started with dubs, and most of the early anime I saw were dubs. Either the "Americanized" versions of shows like Gatchaman, Macross and Space Battleship Yamato or early VHS tapes like Evangelion, The Slayers and Dominion Tank Police. However, not all of the early anime I saw was dubbed. The VHS tapes I owned of the Bubblegum Crisis OVA's, Black Magic M-66 and the Project A-ko series were all subbed. When I discovered the internet I also discovered "fan subs". Once I got into those there was no going back. Overtime I trained myself to be able fully view a movie and read the subtitles. I much prefer the voices of the original Japanese actors. A deep voiced Japanese Yakuza character or a perky, cheerful "genki" girl don't sound the same in English. Also, there are few things funnier than listening to the two leads of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt spew a string of English profanity with Japanese accents. The English dub is pretty good, but they don't compare.
Pokemon, and DBZ.

I watch jojo English dub. I actually prefer it. I might get a lot of death threats towards my way for something like that but it’s a nice price to pay to give an opinion out there
