Hi,

I mainly read Image and Black Horse comics (the whole Hellboy universe, Wicked and Divine, black hammer etc.) so I've not really read much Marvel prior to this year but my partner bought me the Miller and Janson collection of Daredevil for Christmas. Since then, with the help of the lockdown, I've since read the whole of Daredevil.

I particularly enjoyed the Bendis/Maleev, Brubaker and Waid runs. I'm ready for more Marvel and open as to where to go next. I like to have a complete idea about what I'm reading so jumping in at random points isn't really ideal. Happy to try anything from any publisher!

Thanks in advance. 192.168.0.1routerlogin192.168.l.l

If you haven't yet you must complet your DD reading with:

  • DD by Smith, Quesada and Mack - the run right before Bendis'
  • DD by Dennis O'Neil - the run right after Miller and before "Born Again"
  • DD by Ann Nocenti - the run right before the Marvel Knights era with the introduction of Typhoid Marie
  • DD by Charles Soule - great run after Mark Waid's
  • DD by JMS - the current run that will blow your mind

If you liked DD, you can read:

  • Miller's Elektra
  • Punisher by Garth Ennis (Marvel Knight Era, not the punisher Max)
  • Punisher Max by Garth Ennis - it's non-canon but excellent

Then if you want to expend you can continue with non DD/Punisher series from the Marvel Knights era again:

  • Inhumans by Paul Jenkins & Jae Lee
  • Daredevil: Yellow by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale
  • Hulk: Grey by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale
  • Spider-Man: Blue by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale
  • Captain America: White by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale

Then if you want to tackle the other Marvel Supers here you go:

Spider-Man:

  • Death of the Stacys
  • The Original Clone Saga
  • Origins of the Hobgoblin
  • Kraven's Last Hunt: Delux
  • Birth of Venom - condenced version of the Alien Costume Saga + the real birth of Venom
  • Spider-Man by JMS
  • Spider-Verse

Hulk:

  • Hulk by Peter David - or at least "The End" and "Planet Hulk"

Fantastic Four / Galactus / Silver Surfer

  • Behold...Galactus!

Iron Man:

  • Extremis
  • Here Comes the Mandarin

Captain America:

  • Captain America: Man Out of Time
  • Civil War + Captain America: Civil War
  • Captain America by Ed Brubaker

Thor:

  • Thor by Walter Simonson

Thanos:

  • Avengers vs. Thanos - aka the Cosmic Cube Saga
  • Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos + Infinity Gauntlet + Infinity War + Infinity Crusade + Thor vs. Thanos + Infinity Abyss
  • Redemption + Annihilation + The Thanos Imperative + Thanos Rising
  • The Infinity Revelation + The Infinity Relativity + The Infinity Finale

Moon Knight:

  • Marvel Epic: Bad Moon Rising
  • Moon Knight by Jeff Lemire & Greg Smallwood

And the last but not the least X-Men / Wolverine

  • X-Men by Stan Lee
  • X-Men by Chris Claremont
  • New X-Men by Grant Morrison
  • Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon
  • X-Factor by Peter David
  • Wolverine & The X-Men
  • Wolverine: Old Man Logan
  • House of M
  • Avengers vs. X-Men
  • All-New X-Men + All-New X-Men/Guardians of the Galaxy: The Trial of Jean Grey

Have fun to start with !
