@i_like_swords: It's the Valiant book I've been waiting a year and a half for. And although we've had our differences, I think we're Colin's two biggest fans on Comic Vine.
What's The Last Comic You Read?
@i_like_swords: How many times have I had that gif used for me now? :P
@xwraith: Not enough!
@i_like_swords: It just might be one of the two most-used gifs on Comic Vine.
Shadowman volume 4.
How'd you like Milligan and De La Torre on Shadowman? I thought it was great. The Screaming Whip was one of the most horrifying, arcane artifacts I've seen used in comics.

I liked it better than I thought I would. I can say the same for a lot of Valiant books.
Read the first three volumes of Yu-Gi-Oh. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but yeah, I think I've seen enough.

What did you think of it?
@darling_luna: Like I said, it's not my favorite Valiant book, but I'm still hoping you'll like it.
Jake actually called it one of his top three comics of the year (two out of our three were the same).
@xwraith: Jake smells
@darling_luna: Does that mean I do too by extension? D:
@xwraith: *sniffs and sprays with old spice* Not now hehe
@darling_luna: I would just say "lol", but that's not my style.
@xwraith: Just did *winks*
@darling_luna: >.<
Justice League Deluxe Edition Vol 4 - has the Tower of Babel & WWIII.
WWIII is amazing.
Just smurfed "The Smurf King".
I thought it was actually pretty smurf, I was pleasantly smurfed at the inclusion of smurf, and the whole thing had a lot of smurf.

Also read about 50 episodes of Boule et Bill, not really impressed tbh, it had nice artwork though.
JLA Trial By Fire - damn what a great story.
Mytek the Mighty - Against the Living Statue
I'd say this was reasonable for the 1960s. The plot basically centered around a sequence of battles, with Mytek being pitted against a range of giant monsters created by aliens that were intent on invading Earth. After a while though it became more of a Trial/Rite of Passage story as Mytek became more and more damaged but carried on moving forward in an effort to confront the Aliens themselves.
It was OK, the previous Mytek story was much, much better though IMO.
Today I collaborated on a page long improv comic with a friend, and made a scetch of a comic page. Also read.
Also: Sergeant rock/Easy Company-story from iss 104 of Our army at war, from a Showcase edition.
Read the first arc of Saint Seiya.
Meh, It was pretty much a tournament followed by fights with alternate evil versions of the main characters.
EDIT: Oh yeah, before I forget again I read the first two arcs of Battle Angel Alita. This was good stuff, the second arc was very cool, great sci-fi setting, likeable characters who were morally grey, memorable scenes etc etc.
Enjoyed both of these.
Neverwhere actually turned out to be one of the stories from the Heavy Metal animated movie, a movie which I'd seen years ago (its also kind of parodied in an episode of South Park). The story is totally a case of male writer wish-fulfillment and escapism of the basest form, but its very entertaining if you just go with the flow and get taken along for the ride, the artwork is pretty good too.
The other book was more interesting, a selection of moody, atmospheric fantasy tales about armies and soldiering in general. Some tales aim for eerie mystery and tension, whilst others are more of the ironic twist ending variety, most have a moral to the story.
I rode Green Lantern Corps #12 (First volume). I'm French so I'm very happy to have the US single of Green Lantern Corps and Emerald Warriors that the French editor of DC (and Vertigo too and some indie too) hasen't published yet.
But in French, I'm in Action Comics New 52 of Morrison and I really enjoy too !
New Gods #1 from way back.
Read Arzak, it was short and confusing.
That's Moebius for you.

Read Devilman. Jeeeeez this was bleak, and odd, and kind of awesome.
The translation could be pretty baaaad at times though, hopefully one day it will be done more professionally.
That's Moebius for you.
