What's The Best Counter To A Speed Blitz?

if a bloodlusted wally west was after you, what power would be the best way to counter him?

Passive hax are the best counter.

Something like Godzilla's constant AoE heat would be very useful, but honestly, Wally has enough feats that there aren't many singular abilities that would be able to counter him on their own.

Magic, AOE, perception etc

Or shock reflection. Like if wally were to hit you full speed, the force of his punch would get directed back at him.

• Being too durable to be put down
• Time/Space Manip
  • Gravity Manip also goes along with this

Being Accelerator

- Perception, premonition, danger sense etc.

- Reflexes - agility will make you hard to tag to begin with.

- Combat skills, especially re-direction martial arts, like Aikido.

- Force fields

- Illusions

- Desolidification

- And my personal favorite: Density increase.

Speed.

Large AOE

AoE and precognition

Passive hax like Aizen's KS or AoE is the best counter. Time Hax could work extremely well too.

I’m thinking forcefields and shields that are up passively. My mind goes to Captain Cold’s cold field.

Kinetic absorption.

AOE and intangibility are the best two off the top of my head without getting too much into hax abilities.

Damage reflect

Kid Franklin's auto shield

• Instantaneous hax (TP, soul manipulation, etc.)
• Intangibility
• Time manipulation
• Auto shields

But since a bloodlusted Flash is so broken he could probably casually counter all of these with his speed alone.

Null-Force energy field

Don't be slow.

Omnipresence. It would would be like playing tag with him forever as he would never be able to tag you.

Statue force.

To further what everyone else is saying, you also need the speed to react to the blitz to use most of these counters. That's why the smarter users mention passive hax as it'll always be active, not requiring the user to form a thought.

And even then, it depends on how fast the speed blitz is. Like, for example, WWH has his gamma bursts but that won't stop Wally from blitzing Hulk because Wally is much, much ,muuuuuch faster than gamma radiation. From his perspective the waves would be frozen in time if he was bull rushing.

These auto shields melted a bullet near instantly, id imagine it could stop some speedsters..,.or insure mutual destruction.

Speedsters with higher level energy resistance would require a higher level auto shield obviously.

More PIS than speed, actually, with a smidge of pseudo-scientific extrapolation. There's no way speed can beat the intangible.

Absolute Zero body heat..

Aging aura , what barragan have.

True immortality.

Heat cloack , like yamamoto bankai's.

Kyoyka suigetsu .

Abilities like Gerard's Miracle.

Extreme durability

Merging ability , like what Azashiro have

Any of these woud work against a speedster.

And the speedster have no chance.

@nucleon: Stealing oxygen might counter intangible. They still need to breathe.

I'd say misdirection might work a little, when combined with prep.

Invulnerability, doesn't matter that Wally is faster if he can't harm you.
