PG-13 or R?
If this has been confirmed anywhere tell me.
I'm expecting it to be R. The title is Suicide Squad. Harley's outfit is slutty. David Ayer is directing. I think it'll be R.
I agree with this could also explain the lower budget
@eyedcyou: pretty much this, and the source material has sex and violence/gore. (assault on Arkham)
@unrelenting: they announced Deadpool will be R.
@unrelenting: What? I thought Deadpool was a confirmed R
Also Suicide Squad will be R due to obvious reasons.
@darthvxder: @mrtummytumms: Thanks for telling me this I didn't know it was confirmed R.
No way it will be anything other than PG-13. That is the most common rating nowadays because the kiddies can go see the movies without their parents. The big studios are pushing that rating really hard, and WB isn't any different.
Although I hope the movie is made as an R and edited down to a PG-13, so we can get a unrated version once the movie hits home video.

Seems likely.
@eyedcyou: they'll probably have to change the name because certain people will cause drama saying it's insensitive.

I seriously doubt they'll change it.
An R would be sweet because it means the stakes would be off the charts, but a PG13 is likely.
An R also means we get to see Robbie nekkid.
@rdclip: I understand why you think it will be PG13, but I really don't see it with this movie. WB obviously is going after a slightly different demographic that Marvel, and I have a hard time thinking many parents are going to take their kids to see "Suicide Squad."
Plus, can't you only say like 2 F words in a PG-13 movie? Also, there will probably be a lot of violence, and who knows what they'll do with Harley Quinn. I still think they will tone stuff down for an uncut DVD release.
@godzilla44: Thats what i was thinking. The name alone merits it to be rated R because that name doesnt scream kid friendly. Parents will not allow kids to go see a moviethat has the name suicide in it. If it was targeted to a pg-13 audience i think they would have changed the name so it wouldnt scare off parents.
@those_eyes: David Ayer also makes R rated movies
7 out of the 10 movies he's made have been R, the past 5 have been R
Didn't they have to change the name to "The Squad" (why not just call them Task Force X?) to get them into Lego Batman?
They definitely need to stick with Suicide Squad, WB chose this direction for the DCCU surely they realised it would take balls to accomplish it.
I don't think PG-13 bans the use of the word "suicide", if it does America's rating system is seriously flawed, no offence.
PG-13, most likely. Unlike a property like Deadpool, an R rating wouldn't be entirely needed to keep the fans happy.
I can't see them going for an R rating this early in their shared universe. They want to make as much money as they can on these films.

I think BvS will make plenty of money for them
@black_wreath: task force x is too closely related to x-men. The squad sounds goofy. lol Suicide squad should be kept.
Maybe suicide doesnt doesnt warrant a need for rated R but it does steer parents away no matter how you look at it. If warner bros wanted to ensure they reach a sizeable audience then they will change the name amd make it pg-13 because parents will have never read a comic to know who suicide squad is and will be turned off by that name. Parents are uptight about small stuff like this.
I still hope they keep the name though.
