The island was a SMALL Island

So like City level or something?,

Probably even less potentially

I'd say anywhere from Mountain-Island level just to be safe

Island level with potential to be somewhat higher. The attack covered the island and then just shot upward. If it had just kept expanding or been done on a surface that wasn’t an island, who knows what would have happened.

Papaya Island is stated in the guidebook to be the size of a small continent. If you look at the official Dragon Ball world map, Papaya Island is a landmass much larger than any country.

In the manga panels that Island had vast mountains in the background which were erased. The blast created tsunamis that swept giant ships away like ants.

It was continent level.

Island level I guess. But it would be good to know how big that island was.

Papaya Island

Area: C-3

Special Characteristics: A gigantic island that lies south of the continent. It is endowed with width closer to a small continent than an island. The only way to travel to this island is through Dorian Airport or by crossing over by boat. It is an island with eternal summer that is warm year round. Tall palm trees grow heavily in the surroundings. Also, it seems it used to be a volcanic island, as a gigantic mountain rises from the island’s center, and spreads out into a gentle slope.

It says that the island is closer to being a small continent. It also mentions at least one gigantic mountain.

And this is what Papaya Island looks like from the sky.

You can see the signature gigantic mountain but there’s also tons of smaller mountains.

You can see that the explosion spread across the whole landmass. It also reached high into the atmosphere. Buildings are decapitated and sent flying. Most importantly check out the size of that wave. That is a cruise liner or a similar sized ship being swept away like an ant.

I would love to see a calq on that wave and how much energy it takes to move that much water. For right now all I can say is that the explosion was the size of a small continent.

@the_hajduk: That's actually really impressive. I noticed how easily he was eclipsing those mountains, but it was hard for me to judge their size. Gotta go with the Daizenshuu then.

@indomitableregal: This is still a lowball of their actual destruction capacity. In the manga Goku says that he is going to try and absorb the attack to protect the others. Goku was the target of this move and that continental explosion is only the side effect.

Razing a small continent or a very large island is neat, but Master Roshi destroyed the moon. Then Kami recreated the moon. And then Piccolo Daimao said that he could destroy the whole world, if he really wanted to.

He at least meant he can destroy the civilized world so these characters should at least be capable of surface wiping by now.

How big is the landmass? Because Piccolo didn't even bust it, merely raze it.
