In my opinion: Into the Badlands. Sunny and the Widow have produced some amazing fight scenes.

It really depends on what types of fight scenes you like.

Daredevil, Badlands is honestly the antithesis of everything I'd want out of a fight scene.

Daredevil. Into the Badlands scenes are good but sometimes there's too much wireFu imo and it's not always done well, I put that more on some of the actors not being martial artists. They're both good in their own ways.

Daniel wu makes into the badlands fight scenes better than just about any live action show. Sunny would wreck daredevil and iron fist at the same time, with or without "wire-fu"

Really? I mean, if you don't like it I can understand, but saying it's the opposite of everything you want out of a fight scene seems like a bit of an exaggeration. Care to elaborate? What specifically do they do wrong, and what would you like to see different?

It depends.. do you like gritty, more grounded hand to hand based fights scenes where the main character takes dozens of punches to down people and ends up pretty bloody like Daredevil, The Raid, etc? or do you like superhuman kung-fu sword fights where the main character is never tagged and goes through hordes of enemies with one hit each like Badlands, Ip Man, etc?

Two different types of fight scenes.

Loved both.

Tough to compare the two styles.

Depends on what you mean.

I by far prefer more grounded and believable combat over the more stylized, flashy, wire work kind of combat in kung fu movies.

So it's easy for me: Daredevil.

People who prefer the other way will obviously like Into the Badlands more.

ITBL is good, but not among my favourites of its type. While ITBL is better than what we got, in a perfect world, I'd have Iron Fist fight like this:

Loading Video...

I prefer Daredevil. The first hallway fight is the most lauded, but Matt vs Nobu (Round 1), the second hallway fight and drugged Matt vs Ninja are my favourites.

I really like both. It makes sense in the type of fight choreography both shows use in their respective worlds. However I like DD a bit more. But again I can see why people would pick ITBL over DD.

Badlands has far better choreography, but Daredevil is still great. For those of you complaining about the wire work from Badlands, it's a purposeful homage to earlier Kung Fu films from the Shaw Brothers era, pretty awesome actually.

Badlands gets my vote. Badlands is like a guilty pleasure to watch, especially when some of the violence can make you cringe. Seeing Sunny throw that hubcap through a dude's head recently was pretty nasty lol

The problem with the fight scenes in Daredevil is that it's so damn dark you can't see shit half the time

Badlands has far better choreography, but Daredevil is still great. For those of you complaining about the wire work from Badlands, it's a purposeful homage to earlier Kung Fu films from the Shaw Brothers era, pretty awesome actually.

This

Western movies used to use wirework (because of the Matrix) but did so terribly and overused it to farcical levels. Badlands uses it sparingly so where it isn't distracting and the choreography and direction of the fight scenes is great in any case. Like another user said, it has the fight scenes Iron Fist should have had.

Add to that, Into the Badlands isn't a realistic show. It is basically a fantasy show set in the post apocalypse. Hell, it is supposedly loosely based off of Journey to the West, a old legend that features gods, monkey men, magic, etc. In that sense, the wire work is perfectly acceptable. It isn't trying to be super realistic like Daredevil or Bourne.

Either way, both are great but for very different reasons. I prefer Badlands because it is the type of (good) choreography you rarely see in western shows.
