I don't want to have to install firefox. It takes time and because I'm not in summer break time is not something I got.
What new things would you like to see on the vine?

Too lazy to learn to spell right in the first place and too lazy to install a program that will do it for you.
Dreadnaught says:
"I would if I didn't have school and the urge to buy useless things with my allowance. And I am not buying it online. I am against buying it from there. "
Dude, Firefox is free... plus it will probably take 15 minutes of your time.

If you have a RAM shortage, as long as you don't run your game with multiple Firefox windows open, then you're safe. If you have pretty much every RTS game known to mankind installed on your comp, you must have huge amounts of storage.

I used to. But then my urge to get things I don't actualy need kicked in. Now I'm down to 1.5 gbs of physical memory physical

"Shatterstar says:"Buckshot says:"That reminds me. I had suggested something in another thread and I think it fits better here:You know what could be a cool addition to the site? A hero finder. I'm thinking, you input data on a hero (ex: Cape, costume, race/species, sex, power, company, hero/villain) and then a page listing all the characters that fit your search info comes up that helps you find a character if you can't remember the name.More detail on the search categories:Cape - short, long, color
costume - main colors
race/species - white, black, atlantean, alien, etc
sex - male, female
powers - self explanatory
company - DC, Marvel, otherSome of this info is already on the character bios, but some would have to be added. Just an idea.
Post Edited:2007-09-30 14:16:44"Isn't that what tags are supposed to be for?
"
Would the tags help me search for a character if all I knew was that he was a villain with a long purple cape?
"
If you made the tags searchable?
How about a team accout. So when someone wants to make a team on the Vine, instead of just making a new character account they could create a team account. And on team pages it could be like a Team Bio. You could click add member and a window could pop up where you can search through the users and add them to the team. Then on the characters page it would show what teams they are one.
It's not something really ON the vine so much as about the vine. I would like to start a petition to have a ComicVine article on Wikipedia. Other sites have it, why not us?
Dreadnaught says:
"Ditto. I'm avoiding them. I've pretty much indefinitely postponed mine. Really the only team that every really worked out for me was the thunderbolts."
heh, you know how me and Teams / RPG's get along lol

if it has been mentioned on this, on sorry I couldn't be bothered looking. A list of Genre of a comic weather it be horror, drama, Science Fiction. like that. because i was looking for a good horror to read and it took me a while and i found a 4 issue comic called 'Secret' which i thought the art was great. and the story decent.
I like the interface/skin you have on Comicvine but wonder if you could keep the left hand column and the header static, and just have the thread posts move/scroll. That way you can change to another forum/topic without having to scroll up, as these threads do get long. I'm also thinking in regards to skins maybe people can make/change their interface of Comicvine to give it a more personal feel, maybe have design contests and such as well?
I do realise this is a lot of work, and I'd be willing to help where needed, but I've always been a sucker for visual effect.
