Man of Steel will be better
What movie is going to be better Man of Steel or Iron Man 3.
My guess is Man of Steel will be better, but Iron Man 3 will be a big step up from Iron Man 2. Hope both movies are awesome!
Iron Man 3, RDJ is Tony Stark. After endless mediocre Superman movies I have little expectations for this one.
I would have said Iron Man 3 a month ago but after seeing the casting and new armor I'm really unsure about both films at this point
I can't say. I kind of know what to expect with Iron Man 3, but I have no idea what to expect with MOS. All I know is, all of the Superman movies before it sucked.. So.....
But. I am more excited for MOS.
As long as favreau won't be directing IM 3 it has a chance of being as good as MOS or better. favreau always interjects himself into his movies which makes them worse as a result.
Man Of Steel will probably be better I suspect.

Thanks a lot!
As much as I know Iron Man 3 will be great, I need Man of Steel to be better.
From the stuff I've heard about at comic-con, MoS is the Superman movie that the fans have been dreaming about. People cried! Superman's got this. All of the DC characters are counting on him.
If MOS is a hit maybe DC will get their heads out of their asses and hurry up and get more movies out

Man of Steel looks a lot better. I have extremely low expectations for Iron Man given the armor he'll be using. That and Marvel's reputation for the number 3 in their movies. Never ends well.
What movies are you talking about, the only Marvel characters to get to the three mark that I can think of are Blade and Spider-man and those weren't done by Marvel Studios, those were New Line and Sony.
@JediXMan: The part 3 thing goes way beyond Marvel, Superman 3 ruined the franchise for years, Batman Forever set us up for the horror of Batman and Robin, Return of the Jedi gave us Ewoks, Rambo 3 was retarded, Die Hard 3 sucked, the list goes on and on

I was thinking the same thing IM3 will be the first trilogy Marvel Studios has done on their own.
Those were entirely different studios though...Man of Steel looks a lot better. I have extremely low expectations for Iron Man given the armor he'll be using. That and Marvel's reputation for the number 3 in their movies. Never ends well.
Am I going to be the only one who says this: The Man of Steel trailer looked to artsy. Like it takes itself too seriously, like instead of being a fanboys wet dream they were going for an oscar. The whole thing with the success of the Marvel movies is that they didn't try too hard. They gave fans what they want, actions films featuring their favorite characters acting like they should.
The only similarities between the films are that they're both based off popular comic-book characters. That's it.
Shane Black likened Iron Man 3 to a Tom Clancy thriller, in which technology is viewed in an magnificent but terrifying way, which obviously plays to many of the themes presented in the Extremis arc by Ellis. Just how far can Tony go before he loses his humanity?
And from what I was able to ascertain from the Man of Steel trailer that looked like it was filmed with a potato, the film will have an alienated, elegiac, almost tormented tone that will involve plenty of spectacular, gritty scenes and raw emotion.
Has Snyder ever directed a film that is anything like the Iron Man franchise? No.
Has Shane Black ever directed a film that is anything like Man of Steel, or anything like what Snyder has ever made? Certainly not.
Look at the filmmaking styles present in each respective filmmakers' films. They're entirely different.
Also, let's keep in mind that we have Nolan's impression and insight (as well as his favorite composer working on the film) on this upcoming Superman film, and that if we are to surmise anything from his Batman franchise and WB's recent failures with making a lighthearted superhero-romp, it's that this film will be something like we've never seen before.
Iron Man 3 I imagine will maintain the...somewhat grounded, science-fiction tone to it's source material, but this time will do something it hasn't done in the past: introduce a very realistic and terrifyingly awesome concept with the Extremis virus, as well as introduce a ridiculously goofy villain in The Mandarin. We've never seen anything like this before either.
Which will be the superior blockbuster in terms of quality? I'm not sure. Let's hold our judgment until the official trailers for each are released.
@Night Thrasher: I might know where you're coming from. I think MOS is going to be a fantastic film like TDK, but it will not be a fun film like Avengers.
