For a school project research. So pls. do give some serious answers.

I would prefer not to call them a "Mary Sue" or "Gary Stu" because well ... they're not. Both are well written characters. Considered by many non comic book readers to be the top dogs who have their fair share of good character development.

MacGuffin...nah but seriously I'd say conjecture and hyperbole of sorts. Especially regarding Saitama fanboys and people who remark on Screwattack and wank SA Supes

Both are stereotyped to be over powered ad boring by idiots who don't read the stories. There are many who think they can't be beaten. etc

Saitama is a parody.

Superman is classic and iconic.

Just a simple answer for you to have a direction of where to proceed further to do more research on your own.

@donatellorawks: Saitama may have started as a parody but by now he is more fleshed out and important than almost any "serious" character.

The attitude around here about OPM is atrocious. Makes it obvious who actually put in the time to watch the show and read the book before commenting about Saitama. You may have watched an episode or 2 but guarantee you didn't watch or read the whole thing or you wouldnt sound so misinformed.
