Imagine a world where Superman was created 20 years earlier, before the Roaring '20s and the Great Depression and all that. How might Superman and the comic book industry be different?
He’d probably be a typical crime buster. When the Great Depression hit he’d probably save the people who were jumping out of buildings because they were broke! Lol
There'd be a lot more antique scans of him being racist lol but that's it
It'd be a great way of seeing the history of the United States through a different lens though.
I have an ancient comic about Superman taking out Hitler and Stalin, and it's so crazy to see how people wanted to change the world and all it's problems but felt so powerless to do anything about it, so they decided to write a fictional hero saving his world from the very real problems that affected their real world.
