What the hell happened to my favorite comic book website? Why even make content for it anymore? I mean y’all used to be so involved and have interesting polls and topics and weekly content. I feel like we of the comic vine faithful have been forsaken and this website is just a sham. I vote that you delete it because it is just a shadow of a comic lovers site. You don’t even review books anymore. I don’t want to be too harsh because I spent a lot of time on the comments with the mods and the folks that followed this site like me, but I’m kind of upset...

Don't bellyache.

If you want to talk about a specific comic book moment then make a thread.

Cry me a river.

If you want this site to go back to the way it was that badly, go write a letter of complaint to Gamespot for this site to get more than one staff member and give those staff members better compensation.

People started using browser extensions that block the adverts, Comicvine reacted by displaying bigger and more intrusive adverts, leading to more people downloading the extension. Comicvine then changed tactics and laid off staff instead.

Blame Gamespot for CV's lack of activity. When CV got absorbed into Gamespot, content that used to be just for CV; articles, interviews, reviews, news etc. was diverted to Gamespot. Then G-Man stopped writing and left and Mat doesn't have the time to work on CV full time, especially since his wife gave birth recently (congratulations) The forums are still active for now and the wiki community is still big enough to keep the site going on those merits.

The forums and wiki have always made the difference for CV. If you expect premium content and a steady stream of reviews/articles, that was much more CBR or IGN's purview.
