What happened in Godhead?

I love Green Lantern but my read pile has gotten ridiculous and I've come to the conclusion that I just can't afford to read all of Godhead across all the series and everything so before I go into issue #38, what do I need to know?

It was pretty great

It was meh. The New Gods acted like dicks then HighFather had awkward change of heart at the end. The highlights were Sinestro once again proving himself the greatest to ever wield a ring and Black Hand showed up big as well.

It was...okay. New Gods were jerks, Lanterns got owned a lot. High father got the Life Equation from Kyle, but had a sudden change of heart, and something fishy is happening at the Source Wall.
